Hello Guardians. In the 2.0 update patch notes Bungie had said some things about Shotguns. I have quoted them below.
"Shotguns
Shotgun precision damage scalar grants 10% bonus damage (Was 25%)
Shot Package perk reduces the cone spread by 20% (was 50%)
Rangefinder perk adds a 10% base Range increase on zoom (was 20)
Damage done against AI combatants reduced by 45% ( 2.25-> 1.15)"
So... Are shot guns basically as bad as they were in the beginning of Destiny now? This really makes me sad.

Idk why the nerf
-
Takes 6 rounds to down a shielded yellow vs 3. I will just change strategy until they butcher more things again.

2 RespuestasNot lord of wolves. Too bad it's not going to be a year 2 exotic
-
3 Respuestas55% better than vanilla and 45% worse than HoW. Haha
-
Probably useless now. I think this nerf is to prevent people from being able to solo the end game. You could take down the swordbearer in crota with six shotty rounds then turn on Crota with two gallies and repeat a few times for victory. I was unable to do this myself. I solo'd all the way to Crota but just couldn't get the timing down. Now I was going to try again but I won't be attempting it now that the two weapons that would help me the most got nerfed. Bungie doesn't want people to be able to breeze through the content so easliy.

Felwinters is still a monster tbhtbhtbh
-
I was still wrecking yellow knights in crota with found verdict and lord of wolves. So in my opinion, not at all.
-
The sword bearer in the crook fight no longer goes down in 6 shots with me secret handshake/dry rot He still had about a 1/3 of his health twas quite awkward
-
23 RespuestasThey suck. If you can snipe close quarters I'd just do that. They basically put shotguns back where they were.

2 RespuestasEditado por dylangillian: 9/9/2015 1:45:59 PMpve wasn't the problem with shotguns, i was fine with them reducing the pve damage by 10%, since shotguns were kind of too good. but in pvp i fell like they haven't been hit hard enough. the range is still pretty insane as far as i've seen. just reduce the range a tiny bit more. but in pve they need to be buffed a little.
-
Shotguns are still very powerful - as they should be, but for me I think the range has been cut for one shot kills
-
1 RespuestaNot as bad... but not as strong compared to fusion rifles now. See what they did there?
-
3 RespuestasFound verdict is still destroying people in pvp, in pve a 10% nerf amounts to about one more shot to kill something
-
-
-
Takes 6 shots from my dry rot full auto to kill a captain with full shield. That was the weekly, I would say they are where they should be, so fusions and snipers have a a opportunity to shine.
-
5 RespuestasI haven't had a chance to play yet but I think swords are gonna be the new shotties
-
They still stun enemies I'm sure so they don't need to annihilate everything. The fourth horseman probably still shreds. Still waiting on my download as it keeps erroring.
-
My Found Verdict is only slightly weaker. A shielded, 26 Minotaur takes 3 full shots instead of 2. Not really a big deal. Any red bar so far is just a one hit kill, even from some distance. It probably is different for stronger enemies, but I dont see much of a difference so far.
-
7 RespuestasWell idk shotguns weren't all that bad to begin with but time will tell I suppose. What really got me was them nerfing the fusion rifles. Nobody used them so there wasn't a point
-
Yeah, this was my most disappointing change, but so far it doesn't seem that bad.
-
I didn't notice a difference in pve running strikes and nightfall with my invective. Maybe it's light level? Idk but I don't notice a nerf really
-
Felwinters is still a sniper, I used it yesterday and didn't notice much of a difference.
-
I killed valus with my found verdict. They aren't as strong and snap aiming doesn't seem to be as reliable but they still get the job done.
-
Considering they got a 100% damage buff last time they seem ok
