The Spartans receive augments to strength and other natural capabilities. They're Mjolnir armor systems further enhance these. Natural stone isn't specially created to withstand getting hit by a train, and that's about as hard as these Spartans are hitting it. The Mjolnir armor plating as actually capable of deflecting small rounds. Covenant, and UNSC weapons don't exactly utilize small rounds. The armor can only stop so many plasma shots before it weakens. Luckily the armor is self repairing. There is a reason for everything.

So why would a sniper shot kill a spartan but not slaming through a rock?when you shoot a rock that big with a sniper round it doesn't explode.dose this make any sense? It seems inconsistent that they could slam through a rock but a single sniper round can take them out.
-
The sniper rounds are designed to tear straight through armor, and it tears through flesh and bone just as easily. When shot through the body it tears through cleanly enough to not kill the Spartan. It could cripple them, but that's not in the game because it would alter the flow of gameplay too much. When it passes through the Spartans head, which is a one shot kill, it destroys enough brain matter to kill them. That's one armor piercing bullet passing through there head at several miles per hour in a fraction of a second. Whereas when they pass through rock or a wall, it's putting that force on the entirety of their armor. And it has been shown that Spartans can only pass through certain objects, such as older weakened walls on sangheili.
-
Still doesn't explain them going through a rock.without taking too much damage. Regular bullets can tske fown thier shields. Going through a rock would kill them
-
Then falling into orbit should have killed chief. There unnatural strength combined with the enhancements from there armor, and the thrusters would give them enough force to pass through the rock. There shields plus the shock absorbers in there armor protect them from the force.

Because gameplay mechanics aren't canon. Additionally, physics dictates that a lot of force concentrated into a small area (sniper bullets) will have more penetration than a lot of force in a wider area (a rock). So sniper bullets could go through.
-
Not buying that reason.dont you find that the trailor is inconsistent with canon? I DO
-
Yeah and everyone here thinks you should blow you goddamn brains out. So -blam!-ing do it.

I know you are arguing for the sake of arguing and I have no misgivings that a post by me or anyone else will give you the answer you supposedly seek. But go back and read any book on the Spartans and you will see that while some of what they do seems contradictory to common sense it all has a basis in the books, lore, physics. The cinematic really is the first to majorly show feats Spartans have been capable of since the flood/first strike books.

Well i guess Halo is the only franchise I could be considered a fan boy. Primarily for the lore, story and depth of the universe.
-
Fans like you is why halo has failed
-
Ah so long term fans who've been with the Franchise from the start are responsible for its downfall.....yep I totally get that logic. Going from your many older posts about H5 I've got a pretty good idea at what you're referring to and as far as I'm concerned your opinion on Halo and its MP direction is unjustified and while others share your opinion by and large you guys are the minority. Going by your posts your a vocal minority but a minority none the less.
-
Lmao the fewest preorders and droves of former fans.you are in denial

Editado por Leo687: 9/7/2015 1:11:36 PMAnd? Fewest pre orders doesn't mean the game will do bad a fair few that I've spoken to are waiting till after release for reviews etc. Also these droves of former fans are a minority compared to the whole player base.

You lost move on
