So we've all seen the articles littering the web about making blink "less good" but does anyone really know what that means?
Side note* I'm 100% pro blink. Combined with current shotgun rolls its...very strong, albeit not broken by itself. Anyone who "hates blink" is probably bad at it, thus the dislike.
But really...
If you increase cooldown time
-after blink 1
This would be awful. Missing a jump you're screwed. Unless we're going to add a jetpack/life cooldown too.
-after blink 2
This just slows gameplay. Doesn't seem to fix a blinker...just makes you be more cautious when you choose too
-nerf distance blink travels
I feel like this again ruins it. This only makes moving around the map tedious and awkward to make normal jumps.
So...yeah that's all I have. How could, and supposedly are they going to nerf blink without ruining it entirely?
Edit*** post 2.0 nerf.
Blink is still just as good. Shotty game is still strong. Lol go Bungie.

Editado por Zynastor: 9/6/2015 7:03:34 AMHave you ever been sniped at your blink origin when your body has already blinked? By increasing the duration of 'hang' time, you will become more vulnerable and less likely to dodge munitions. Your perspective as the user will remain unchanged, with the exception of a few extra bullets in your back. --my personal take on the "nerf", involving the hitbox. This is going to be an interesting process to bring back blink. True Nerf: give blink a feel like that of an extended shoulder charge. Maintain acceleration, keep the speed, increase the hitbox hang time. Mercy Buff: allow double blink mid-air, but shorten the distance.

7 RespuestasMake it so your weapons don't 'ready up' until you hit the ground. Quickdraw still brings them up faster it just dosent start until your feet hit the ground
-
3 RespuestasYou still take damage while blinking. You can't fire your weapon for .5 seconds after landing.
-
3 RespuestasJust a question. Would things be better if blink shot you more forward instead of upward? This way the person is in frame the whole time still travel far but be able to close distance. Just

3 RespuestasEditado por zaephirian: 9/6/2015 6:21:39 AMI use blink in 80% of my matches, and I agree blink needs a nerf. This is what I would do: Nerfs. - Weapon takes longer to ready after blink. - Blink cannot be used horizontally or on the last part of the jump - Blink takes 1 more second to recharge after the first, 3 if both are used. - Blink no longer has immunity frames. - Your hitbox takes longer to move (a few frames). Buffs. - Hunters can now double jump (no control and low height) when blink is not available, double jumping resets Blink's cooldown. - Hunters with Bones of Eao can triple jump when blink is not available. edit- Warlocks can now glide jump (no control and low height) when blink is not available, gliding resets Blink's cooldown. Even with this nerfs I would still consider Blink to be the best jump, and a meta definer.

Looks like we will find out hows its being nerfed on tuesday

I always say it needs to be telegraphed more. Such as to make it less instantaneous. I'm talking 10ths of a second here. Would make enough difference without completely nerfing it.
-
Ok, first of all, I hate blink with a burning passion but use it on my voidwalker because it's the best way to get around with a warlock (or focused burst). I am not bad with blink whatsoever. The stuff that needs to get nerfed on it would mainly be the fact that it effing negates damage when shooting at someone using it. How many people do you see shoot a rocket and then immediately blink out of the way of yours? Pretty much everyone I come across that uses blink does this. And my rocket detonate right next to them and deals no damage. Also, my friend got stuck by a fusion grenade and then blinked and the fusion grenade fell off and did no damage. That and it needs to be a bit more predictable ad to where the blink will lead because half the time someone blinks near me I have no idea where they went and then I get back stabbed with blink strike (almost every person using blink is a hunter). Oh and triple blink is a thing by the way. Definitely not overpowered. Those are the main problems with it. Personally I don't think it should've been in the game. I know blink shotguns are an issue but it's mostly the shotgun range fault. And how fast blink closes gaps. So I would change those three things: 1. No more invincibility frames 2. More predictability 3. No triple blink But if I worked for Bungie before the game came out and knew what it could do, I would take it out of the game entirely.

3 RespuestasBlink is already nerfed. What other jump skill has a cool down... It's a momentum based skill. It isn't that hard to predict where someone's headed if you're good with blink yourself...
-
4 RespuestasJust to clear up something. When you blink your not invinsible. You rip a small hole in the space-time continuum, travel into the void, then the same method is instantaneous applies to a different location on the same plane that you "reappear" into.
-
Make weapons slower to use after blink, or give blink a cooldown
-
Everytime you get a kill AFTER you get a kill you can't blink for another 2 seconds. Just throwing this out there
-
It's nerf or nothing! * more like its nerfed and nothing
-
We you use it you blow up.

I think the way to go about blink, since it makes you invincible and gives you a huge burst of speed, is to increase the time it takes to ready your weapon after blinking. Increasing the cool down time would destroy it and make it useless. With the ready up time it would take it from an offensive to defensive strat because you would get punished for blinking at someone. As for the hunters with QuickDraw, make the ready up time completely separate from the perk while on the ground or with a regular jump. We all know what happens when people go crying to bungie for a nerf, they completely destroy whatever it is people say is the problem
-
6 RespuestasI don't like blink because all they do is jump up and down around the control point trying to shotgun you like a bunch of kangaroos. It's reminiscent of the Battlefield 3 "bunny hoppers" trying to dodge, duck and dodge the whole match instead of using your primary
-
Blink's not received well by others just because of shotguns, imo. Just take out the invincibility frames, if there really are. I myself main with a hunter but only use blink for movement and evasion. I have been killed mid-blink plenty of times though so I can't say I've been able to benefit from i-frames. I feel like it doesn't need a nerf. The cooldown's already enough. Increasing the cooldown would just make it worse for PvE and movement, in general. Same with blink distance. Having weapons drawn only after landing would just make it extremely worthless. There would be no fluidity or freedom of play style. Increasing weapon draw time's okay, but having them drawn on landing's unfair already. I hope that the upcoming shotgun nerf alleviates some pressure on blink.

8 RespuestasRemove invincibility frames and increase the weapon recovery time Done.
-
Throw a melon at it Melons for all!
-
I think it might have a delay on your weapon to come up. That's the only way I can see it not completely ruining it
-
Remove invincibility frames and slow down the frames of when they are blinking so they can't travel across the blink distance as quickly.
-
Huge cooldown and invincibility!
-
1 RespuestaRemove it?
-
Make it blind the user
-
2 RespuestasEither getting rid of its invincibility while mid-blink, or increasing the time to draw your weapon after blinking
