This game is NOT an MMO. It's a shared-world shooter, so stop giving Bungie excuses for taking away all the exotics we grinded for the past year.
Edit: I bet half of the sheep replying saying that it is an MMO have never actually played an MMO.

It's an mmo

1. You're correct, it's a hybrid that contains MMO elements. 2. They're not taking away anything. 3. Isn't using the MMO gear expansion structure still just dipping into the aforementioned game type? It's just another approach that it shares with MMOs without necessarily being one itself. 4. You can see that they're bringing more MMORPG elements into the game with this expansion, so what's the problem? 5. Exotic trophy wall = your legend

3 RespuestasIt's an MMO. Dress it up however you like but it's still an MMO. Only people that seem to have a problem with it are people that assumed it would be a straight-up FPS.

Mmo=massive multiplayer online game. Last time I checked destiny wasn't a single player or 4 players only type game. Last time I checked you can find dozens of players in the tower last time I checked you can meet a massive amount of people via the game in game. So sorry if I and many others call it mmo. And just because bungie doesn't like to call it an mmo doesn't mean that it isn't one.
-
Hahaha, he said "grinded" That's funny, seeing how I could get the same sh!t you "grinded" for the past year, in a few weeks..
-
Its not some. Almost all of its game design elements aside from tbe shooting are borrowed from popular MMOs, including their take on leaving weapons and armor behind. I'll never say it's an MMORPG, Im going to call it a Shared World Shooter like bungie.
-
The mmo part is irrelevant. It just stands for massive multiplayer online. So people can still compare it with other mmos because it shares almost everything else with those types of games, in a smaller scale.

Editado por CHICKENSQUARE: 8/22/2015 7:33:10 AMMultiplayer Online First Person Shooter Role Playing Game The only thing it's not is massive. Destiny borrows elements from basically all of the most popular game genres and smashes them into one epic game. It's one-of-a-kind.

3 RespuestasIt's a mmo, quit living in denial
-
1 RespuestaWhat about OMM... MOM... Or MOO??
-
Cayde, y u here?
-
its gonna happen eventually leaving some behind is progress as long as they give us enough content. their still in the game so their not being taken away.

21 RespuestasStop saying Destiny isn't an MMO when is has approximately 80% of the MMO attributes. It's more MMO than anything else, so stop disagreeing with my opinion that Destiny is in fact an MMO.
-
You might want to finish your acronym there. Unless you don't know that it needs to be finished. What you're aiming for is MMORPG. Which is what WoW is and Elder Scrolls etc. unfortunately. We are now in RPG waters. Welcome to a MMORPGFPS yay for acronyms
-
It has MMO elements . Like it has elements of RPG . It's basically a FPSMMORPG. New type of game
-
1 RespuestaI'm pretty sure I was told that Destiny was actually a paper RTS.
-
