The past month I've been playing it's been rare to find anyone with a 3k Grimore score or higher. They used to be a dime a dozen. Are all the vets quitting or taking a break till TTK comes out?
Edit: I'm on XboX One

2 RespuestasYup I'll be taking a long break, I'll be back When the DLC after TTK comes out

Day one player, and I have only logged on twice in over a month. Once when Xur had celestial nighthawk and again for bones of eao. I wanted them just in case I make my way back but it's looking less and less likely all the time. I am not a hater for the sake of hate, I am just getting burned out and frustrated, and while I am curious about ttk, I'm not sold on it. They are saying the right things, talking about the right changes, no question. I'm not butthurt about fatebringer or vision or my other weapons. I am concerned about the plan,I won't deny it, but that has to do with bungie failing to add interesting new weapons. As a former mmo player I am fine with gear becoming obsolete, as long as it is replaced with good, interesting, and sufficiently varied new options. Bungie hasn't done a good job of that up to now, though, and that's cause for concern. I hope that ttk and subsequent content is fantastic, rich in story, gear, experiences, etc. I hope I read about how the game turned around, and my sense of wonder at the game rekindles. In other words,I hope to be back, I'm not breaking my disk, I'm not even trading it in, but I just don't think I'll be playing for a good, long while, until I'm convinced that the game is at least starting too turn into what it was pitched as a few years ago. Good luck guardians, and happy hunting. Additionally, there are several new games coming out that I am very interested in, in addition to ones that I have yet to finish or in some cases even start. I just finished far cry 4, still have ac unity, alien isolation, Dragon age, witcher, Batman, and the new metal gear comes out two weeks before ttk. Fallout 4 in November is a game I've wanted to get my hands on since I finished New Vegas. I have loved my time in Destiny, truly, and I'm still interested in the possibility of more, but at this point I'm either done, or I'll make my way back later, because while the concept of the game is amazing and the mechanics are damn near perfect, the lack of substance has detracted from the experience and the questionable at best track record with current dlc just doesn't instill enough confidence for me to put my money down right now.

Periodically take breaks from the game, I usually grind it when Iron Banner is out or hop on for some Trials with some buddies. Don't really do nightfalls or anything else anymore because it's just too much grinding the same thing over and over, still getting the Taken King but other games are coming out so my interest in Destiny will decline greatly unfortunately.

With the changes coming i say most vets are taking a break i haven't played in months myself but i can't wait for ttk.

Bounties strikes and playing with our friends. I mingle with new players in the tower or help for nightfall but just waiting.
-
I'll be back for ttk. Playing other games right now
-
They are gone.

All the vets know there is no point in playing it right now until the taken king

I honestly think I'm done with Destiny. I like the mechanics so much. But the game just doesn't have that fulfillment it SHOULD have. Especially with the base game. There should have been a clear cut beginning, middle, and end to storyline. With some questions about lore, but ultimately what you accomplished. But the story is all over the place. Even strikes got severely boring after a while. There's no real mechanics to boss fights, just shoot until they die. Which is terribly boring. Not to mention strikes are too short and unrewarding. Vault of Glass was the only real piece of content that truly shined as a complex dungeon with the mechanics it brought to the table. I think I hung on longer than I should have because my friends were playing. But for a player like me who is deeply immersed into a universe, Destiny didn't meet my expectations. I was simply hooked on the shooting mechanics. But now that I'm over the novelty, I see the game for the hollow shell of what it really is. Even with the upcoming DLC, I've seen the threads of people comparing content vs value of a dollar. But how much of that content is EXCLUSIVE to TTK players and how much will simply be integrated into the game itself. I'd argue that outside of the story missions, a few strikes, and pvp maps, everything else is for everyone. But the strikes again will be useless because they don't provide anything of value in the game. Why run strikes if they don't reward useful gear? Story missions will retain their factor for a little bit. PvP is the only thing I see as being unique every time because you never know how it will play out. At least if the guns are balanced for the most part. Crucible has been roughly boring these past 6 months due to the severe change in meta. Instead of a wide variety of guns, we got locked into a small pool of weapons because of really low time to kill times and poorly thought out movement mechanics (looking at you Blink). The game rewards going along with the crowd over uniqueness if you want to win. So in closing I'm moving on (or back anyway) to Gears of War UE. The beta in June was the most fun I've had in so long. Now THAT was a game that rewarded skill over anything else. Everyone starts with the same weapons, same hit boxes, symmetrical maps, etc. It comes down to individual player skill, team cohesiveness, and map knowledge. I wish you guys nothing but the best. But for me I'm done.

Nope. I spend more time on ESO now, but I still jump on Destiny for (easy) Nightfalls, Trials and the occasional raid my friends want to do. I love Destiny and am excited for the changes coming, but if I play the same game over and over again I lose steam in playing it. It's been especially bad lately when I get all the new Exotics that come out because then I lose a goal and reason to keep doing end game activities.

Nope just waiting for new stuff

I'm thinking break. It's summer. HoW content was a little short. I love destiny but I didn't even do the nightfalls last week. I also got witcher 3 when HoW came out and left it untouched until two weeks ago. I'm giving that a go and will likely be full force again in a bit.

I'm on XBox one and I have a very large number of Veteran Friends and Even Christmas Noobs who have no plans on leaving, TTK sounds great.
-
I don't play very much. No point. Have everything I need, did all that I wanted to do. Game is stale and I can't stop playing the rare replay game that just came out.
-
1 RespuestaI am still there, game is no longer challenging. You level up 3 characters to 34 in a week. The good old days forever 29 missing that helmet that u can only get on hard vog. Having full vog fear with white shader and vex on your back, instant badass. Haaaa the good old days
-
Still here. For bored and remade all three toons.lol.

Still ere

1 RespuestaGiven what has been said about TTK, for most people there's not much point in playing until TTK. No point chasing and rerolling legendaries. No point in running nightfalls unless they are missing some exotics. No point in running trials. No point in doing PoE unless they've got ciphers to finish. No point in running raids unless they're chasing the Vex/Crux. I mean, yes, people will still be running stuff for fun, but much less people will be running because they are chasing things, because a good portion of the things they would have been chasing aren't really viewed as worth their time any more.
-
There's nothing for me to do anymore and POE bores me to tears.
-
I've been playing for awhile (hunter chestplate and emblem shows) and I don't really plan on leaving, just not playing as much
-
Editado por SuGNuB zTi: 8/12/2015 2:52:36 PMKinda until ttk. Still do some Dragons every now and the maybe get a hopscotch. And do a little pvp go 9-0 every now and then in trials when I do play.
-
Playing rarely now. Nothing to play for. Weapons getting nerfed etc. I run weeklies to obtain strange coins and maybe a Poe or skolas for fun but not near what I used too. When ttk comes out I'll play more or be done with destiny if it sux
-
Got all the exotics and played through everything. No point in grinding for legendary stuff or etheric light since it will be obsolete in a month. So taking a break.
