Thanks to all of the crybabies on the Destiny forum, all of the favorite go-to weapons will be nerfed and made useless in both PvE and PvP. I don't care for making things more "balanced", especially in PvP which is what it will always be -- a competitive multiplayer mode. If you don't have the weapons and skills to kick ass in PvP then maybe you should stick to PvE or vice versa. Or maybe you should actually invest in the game by grinding hours on end EARNING these weapons instead of resorting to the forum and crying to Mama Bungie. Can't join a particular group because you don't have the gally? Start grinding nightfall, weekly, raids, crucible, etc. and eventually you'll get these drops like the majority of us (year-one players) did. Bungie should not have to keep catering to the lazy crybabies on here and ruin the game for the rest of us. If you want these "OP" weapons then EARN them like the rest of us. The way I see it there would be more of an incentive to complete nightfalls, weekly, etc. in order to obtain these weapons and maybe -- JUST MAYBE -- there will also be less inexperienced "fake" 34s running around.
STOP THIS MADNESS!!!!
DON'T TOUCH MY GALLY!!!!
(...and Thorn, Ice Breaker, Blackhammer!)
[EDIT]: If you support the opinions against Bungie's weapon 2.0 update, feel free to check out and sign the following petition. Maybe it will make a difference, maybe not. The way I see it is you have more to lose and hopefully even more to gain once our voices have been heard and implemented.

[FINAL EDIT]: I will no longer be wasting anymore of my time replying to any childish, demeaning and spiteful comments (which are only recycled rebuttals anyway) that lack the maturity and intelligence to provide a more logical and constructive argument in a highly mature manner. I will, however, keep this thread open for anyone to continue to leave their opinion on the matter whether it is in agreement or disagreement. I did appreciate those who were like-minded and support my stance because they get it. I also appreciated those who were respectfully opposed yet took the time to provide a well-reasoned argument without resorting to name-calling or straight up bashing on someone and insulting them simply because they have a different opinion than yours. Incase you've forgotten, Freedom of Speech still exists and grants everyone the right to express their opinion. Therefore, I can exercise my right to voice my opinion on here just as much as yours. Don't like it? Then agree to disagree and carry on.
I still stand by my opinion towards the Weapons 2.0 Update. I also acknowledge that nothing may change Bungie's decision on this, but it doesn't mean I can't still have an opinion as both a customer and gamer of their product. Yes, I can adapt to change as I have done so in the past, but the point is that I shouldn't keep having to adapt just to have the game watered down. I had paid for the game (and all of the DLCs) like everyone else and had invested as much time and effort into it as most Day 1/Year 1 players on here. When things like weapons are nerfed it devalues those weapons and the amount of time and effort put into obtaining and upgrading them as well as any advantages in choosing to use them over others. Bungie has become so bipolar with their nerfs/buffs that I believe it is their lazy (and quickest/cheapest) way of fixing the game temporarily in hopes of satisfying and keeping us lingering around at least until TTK. I don't believe this update will be the miraculous end-it-all fix that the game has long-overdue been in dire need of nor will it suddenly bring "balance". Instead of the nerfs, Bungie should develop and introduce new weapons into the game to counter these "OP" weapons. Or focus on making these "bullet-sponge" bosses more difficult or complex. There are other ways to improve the game than to rely on this never-ending seesaw of nerfs and buffs to "spark more or maintain interest" into an already repetitive gameplay which is inevitably unavoidable.
Also, just because I enjoy certain weapons does not mean that these are the only weapons that I use or rely on. They are just that -- a few weapons that I personally enjoy. So, if you want to be a sheep and refer to them as crutches because you lack a better argument then go for it. Just like the attacks on my K/D stats and whatnot, I have my reasons behind them and I don't need to explain myself to anyone who is so quick to judge and belittle anyway. If you would like to be that internet bully over an opposed opinion because it somehow makes you feel better about yourself then have at it. That kind of attitude and behavior only speaks for the kind of person that you are anyway and continues to have zero effect on me. Like I said, you can come on here to express your opinion, but either agree or disagree and carry on. :)
TL:DR? Oh well. Carry on with your ignorance then. :)
You're alive? I thought you where dea.. how is this possible? Should I put a spoiler tag, nah forget it.

Thanks crybabies. I really appreciate it, as I'm enjoying 2.0 crucible more than I have in months! A weird feeling, actually...
-
Is this post real? Or some sort of art piece?
-
Jeez guys calm your shit, the crucible is always changing, there have been times when auto rifles wrecked, and mythoclast destroyed, and it was nerfed and crucible was changed, and everyone got used to the new amazing guns like last word, and now you have to do it again, and you'll get over it just like every other time

2 RespuestasI was unaware that statistics could cry. How about that Gjallerhorn?! No, not op there at all. Not enough for you? Here's the full update. Sorry to shatter your illusion that whining caused nerfs but Bungie has more stat tracking than you could possibly comprehend. And they've said in recent magazine updates that this will be a constant refrain going forward, balancing, tweaking, updating guns based on game tracking. So if you're this angry about it that you're going to write a thesis on the subject, perhaps its time you move to a different game where guns never change no matter how many times you prestige.

3 RespuestasI don't see what the problem is, myself. I love my old black hammer, my old field scout beast sniper, my tlw, gjallarhorn, etc. But I don't see a problem leaving them behind. At all. You could make better weapons. But that's power creep territory. Can I ask if youre coming from any mmo background?
-
TLDR: I'm butthurt I can't get kills with the Thorn anymore.
there you go
5 RespuestasDidn't this exact post show up last patch?

But auto rifles were nerfed first because they were a "favorite" of pvp. 2.0 is close to how it use to be imo. The only difference is hand cannons are still usable.

11 RespuestasEditado por Lebanese_Kid_: 9/12/2015 4:11:05 AMI can see where you are coming from. Truly, you showed me an other side to this ongoing argument, but I would like to voice my opinion, and if it seems repetitive I have to apologize but I'm not about to go reading everything on here to make sure I don't repeat it haha! I digress, I think this will be a very well put together rebalance of the weapons that currently and will exist on Destiny. I don't see 2.0 as a nerf in anyway, shape or form, but literally a rebalance. Like hand cannons for example. They are, by far, my favorite weapon type in the game, but I must admit that they should not have the power to basically snipe an enemy from across the map and kill with just 2 shots of the weapon being fired. I will admit it, I use the last word and thorn just as much as the next guy or gal would, but that's just the point. The diversity does not exist in the game right now. Everyone is using those weapons. Now I'm not saying that you rely on them, but you can say that most people on this game now rely on these "op" weapons. Every time I play the crucible now, I feel like it is just an entire game of "who holds it better" instead of "who is better." Very rarely do you find that one person that is using something you never thought would kill you in the crucible and be the top player on their team. THAT, is what I consider skill. If anything, this will create a more reason to use them in terms of skill, because if they are now going to "suck" then that would make you a highly skilled player if you are able to demolish an entire team with that weapon The last word is still going to be a good weapon. The thorn is still going to be a good weapon. You just have to be closer now due to the fact that hand cannons should be deadly at close range. Next, Auto Rifles. The first "rebalance" of auto rifles was in fact a nerf. (Sorry bungie) they really plummeted them into the ground and made them close to worthless especially on PvE. This will put them back on par with every other weapon choice, (which I very much enjoy because I just recently started falling in love with my Monte Carlo and do amazing with it (; ) Lastly, the famous Gjallarhorn. Who isn't going to love that weapon right? I mean my clan is named after it! But it doesn't upset me that it is getting a damage reduction. It has become the go to weapon in every nightfall, Crota, VoG, PoE, etc. once again no diversity. Just pull out a giant intricate design rocket and burn it all to death. I just prefer challenge in a game. To be able to say that "Hey my team did this!" And to proudly show it off knowing that it is a challenge is a great feeling. We can't do that with Gjallarhorn. And let's be quite honest, the whole "must have gally" forums are ridiculous. That should not be the only reason for someone to be able to join a party. They are going on those forums to play with players, not to get shot down. The only thing that upsets me in this whole rebalance, is the Ice Breaker. I think the fact that they are moving it to an 8 second wait instead of 5....just...just no. Why??? Haha but all in all, I think their intention of this (and I honestly believe that it will be a success) is to create diversity in the game. Everyone to use a weapon that they enjoy and that they feel comfortable with instead of having players use the same three-four weapons in every guardians arsenal. And with that, I conclude my ranting Guardians! [EDIT] After the update, I am VERY happy to stand by what I said here (: much more balanced than before the 2.0 update. I feel like it is a much more enjoyable experience overall. Hope you guardians are enjoying it as much as I am!

Editado por RandomCanadianEH: 9/12/2015 3:47:39 AMHalf of the nerfs where stupid. I could just imagine Bungie's thought process: "Wait, they get more bullets to shoot things and an extended magazine? Too overpowered, nerf it. Hold on, a sniper with as much stability as a serial killer has unlimited anmo? Better "fix" that and make them wait longer. There's a gun that can help players chew through bosses due to its Exotic-tier perk? Screw changing the rarity, just pull it out of their reserves."

Thanks crybabies! I love the new patch

Lmao sounds like someone's crutch weapons got nerfed XD

wow I'm amazed you took all that time to write a post which lets be honest bungie nor most people could care less about lol

I don't agree with field scout and PvE shotgun nerf

TL;DR. Destiny is better now PvP and PvE.
