So, as someone who mains warlock, I am really excited about the new arc subclass, Stormcaller. I mean, who doesn't want UNLIMITED POWER!
For anyone who hasn't checked out the gameplay footage yet, you totally should.
Here is a picture of the Stormcaller skill tree (not mine). Note: at E3 "storm grenade" was called "deluge grenade" and "perpetual charge" was called "inclement weather."
What are everyone's thought/feelings about this new subclass? What perks are you most interested in? Any particular builds you are cooking up?
Personally, I am slightly disappointed that (as it stands now) there is only 1 unique grenade. The announced grenades are Lightning Grenade (same as Striker), Pulse Grenade (same as Striker), and Deluge Grenade (the new/unique one).
Now, I know that each class is only getting 1 new grenade each (so far), so this grievance isn't special to Stormcaller Warlocks. Stormcallers are getting lightning grenade which is one of the strongest grenades in the game. Also as many of you have pointed out, E3 builds aren't final, so there is time for Bungie to exercise some creativity with regard to grenades and create 6 more (2 per class) unique grenades.
The greased lightning perk will make both lightning and pulse very potent, though. Greased lightning makes all enemies hit by grenades chain lightning to nearby enemies. This makes pulse essentially an arc bolt grenade with multiple chances at hitting an enemy. That's kinda sweet actually. Lightning grenade will be even more potent.
The other perk I'm really interested in is inclement weather. This causes melee/grenade kills to reduce one another. This has the potential to be extremely powerful, especially if kills from greased lightning chains proc the melee recharge.
Let's talk about what looks to be an amazing subclass!
Edit: whoops! I missed the obligatory 500 response bump-edit...soo.... 647 replies!! Woohoo!!
Edit 2: Apparently some Gamescom footage showed that Stormcaller will be getting arcbolt grenade instead of lightning grenade.

5 Respuestasa new one for the warlock Stormcaller subclass - Perpetual Rain (Warlock chestpeice) 'The Titans crave their fire, the Hunters crave their smoke... We crave our Rain' intellect 100-121 - (Exotic Perk) Hurricane whilst Stormtrance (super) is active, Glide lifts you infinitely higher. The point of this chestplate is to be the ultimate mobility option for warlocks, whilst their lightning super is active, holding X or A lifts a warlock into the air, releasing it causes your warlock to swiftly float back to the ground, holding X or A midair will cause you to fly up anyway, so holding and releasing will make a warlock fly up and down at very rapid speeds. Think of how they float along the ground now when the super is active, but being able to fly across large open chasms, just floating through the air

It could be changed, as E3 bulid is old one.

1 RespuestaThe E3 builds weren't final. They still have 2+ months to try to implement more unique grenades. I'm not saying they WILL, but it could happen.

4 RespuestasI feel like I read that the other grenades were just place holders. But who knows. There were a lot of place holders at E3.
