Save the life of a small child

What am I going to do with a lightsabre? I see 3 possible outcomes of not saving the kid. 1) I'll lack the training to even turn it on let alone use it right 2) I'll be too afraid to turn it on and just have it collect dust 3) or I'll turn it on backwards and cut myself in half
