Girl Gamers Question?
Hi guardians :)
[b]i am a guy[/b] (cuz I know it will be asked)
My name is Y.G. and I've been here since the beta and in the start, we had a truley amazing fan base :D ,seriously, awsome!
And now that it's been 30 weeks or so I kinda feel that our outstanding community has been slowly becoming extinct or moved on.
But lately I've been seeing a lot of negativity towards female gamers.
This made me want to see what percentage of people are spreading the negatively.
Follows are always appreciated ;)

And i don't treat them any differently. Ill make fun of them just like the guys. I don't see what the big deal is lol

I love a girl gamer. We met 5 years ago through work, we moved in together and we've just had our second child. Previous to that I always thought girl gamers were either a myth or try hards.

Why do they gotta be labeled as "girl" gamers? A gamer is a gamer, no matter the sex, or what console or device they play on.

Most of us know females aren't stupid. We know that you know the possibilities of an online experience aren't always desirable, more so if you're targeted for gender. Sorry the forums get filled up with garbage like this. Its better to discuss real topics and not care about gender than to make a thread that's the equivalent of a online roll call for the females in the forum so they can get X amount of replies [i]just[/i] because they sounded off as a female. Since I'm here, I'll add I can care less if you're a guy or girl, speak perfect English or not, gay or lesbian, are handicapped etc. I'd much rather talk about games in a gaming sub forum.

We play with a girl and she is a beast at PvP.I have no problems playing with females

Every time I've played with a female, there was too much pointless chatter. Or she spent the entire time talking to someone is real life, with her mic on. The boyfriend of the gamer girl tends not to care that she's in a raid and will distract her and she'll get killed, happens so much it's stupid. Most importantly, Females are multitaskers, and will look for opportunities to multi task. Can't blame them, it's what they're good at. Destiny isn't a multi tasking game though, thus, no chicks in the party

Women are people. When I get into/create a team, I ask myself these questions; 1) Are these people fun to play with, while maintaining seriousness when needed? 2) Are these people willing to listen to ideas as well as share their own? 3) How many Walkers have they killed? 4) How many people have they killed? 5) Why? I never think "Are there any females in here?" It simply doesn't matter. I play with this one girl all the time, and she gets treated like anybody else does in my party. Female gamers are just like male gamers. Anybody who makes it seem like a big deal that a girl is playing is either immature or just a dick. Female gamers are welcome in my raid teams if they understand that, to me, they're just gamers.

You posted this in #Gaming sub-forum not on the #Destiny sub-forum. If you want responses from Guardians only you would get a better outcome by moving this to #Destiny As this is about gaming in general though it's fine here and that was just for your information, many people get confused as the app is called Destiny. I have no problems with grill gamers, I love them, they rock!

2 RespuestasI'm a woman and I happen to love gaming. Me and my husband play all the time. I used to be hated on Call of Duty by men who couldn't stand being killed by a girl over and over. It was amusing. Destiny is different. I have never experienced any different treatment. I have helped friends rank up before, I belong to a clan with a bunch of awesome people. To them, I am just a good player. And a friend. And they have never disrespected me. They know that it's not a matter of gender, if you're a good player you're a good player regardless of your genetic features ;-)

She is fun to talk to and fun to play with and is a good teammate with an above 1 k/d ( we met playing black ops and have played every COD together since except for AW because all my friends agree that game is -blam!-ing terrible. We have played many other games as well). Then there was another girl in our clan. "Jodi" went around and would pick a guy and start flirting. She went through half the guys in the clan before everyone realized she was doing this and there was a lot of in fighting because of this. I don't think she did this on purpose. I think she was just lonely but we are more careful now about women we game with. Personally, I don't if your a girl gamer. If you can ball I'm down!

I don't mind because one of the first people to play video games with me was a girl. That girl is still my friend to this day and she doesn't mind playing with boys either.
