We're here today in remembrance of the Mythoclast....

The Vex Mythoclast had a short, but full life. Birthed from the remains of Atheons cinders as Guardians made him walk off the edge into a dark pit of despair. Quickly the Vex was taken to the crucible for his big debut, and big it was. Many Guardian tears were collected and the word quickly spread that SUROS had a contender. Stories were told of its unfathomable power. The great creators got wind of this and took swift action. The Mythoclast was stuck down, unable to kill even the lowest of Gregs. For a time the Vex was depressed, what was once a highly sought after prize has been reduced to a happy meal toy. The creators felt bad for what they had done and decided to bless it with slightly more strength that its peers. This time would not last though. A wormhole opened in the time space continuum and stronger versions of its peers emerged. The Mythoclast was again reduced to a novelty item, never seen, but talked about by children in the tower. Please creators, give life back to the Vex Mythoclast. If not the buff it deserves at least the buff it needs right now. TLW: Soooo 323 attack was cool for the week before TDB dropped. Now every vex owner is just like /facepalm, wtf bungie. Please adjust.

    Did something recently happen with this weapon? If not, I'm not sure why the post was necessary unless you've finally accepted it will never return to what it once was. As far as Crucible is concerned, the Mythoclast is balanced right now. I'd venture to say its slightly more than just balanced but then again, it is an exotic. This is my outlook on any weapon in Crucible. There should be no stat/weapon that gives someone a +dmg boost over his/her opponent. For example, the Hawkmoon is broken. Every duel should be balanced. It takes three shots to end someone with my legendary hand canon (that's with headshots). Along comes Hawkmoon and they can drop you in 2 shots or 3 body shots if they are getting the random +damage. That, in my opinion, should never happen. Stats like radar stays active, missing returns ammo into chamber, increased effective range/accuracy, etc. are fair stats. The thing is, when it boils down to the 'duel', the determining factor should only be who is better. You take 2 equally talented players and give one a weapon that can do more damage like the Mythoclast once did, the Mythoclast will win every time.
