Did something recently happen with this weapon? If not, I'm not sure why the post was necessary unless you've finally accepted it will never return to what it once was. As far as Crucible is concerned, the Mythoclast is balanced right now. I'd venture to say its slightly more than just balanced but then again, it is an exotic. This is my outlook on any weapon in Crucible. There should be no stat/weapon that gives someone a +dmg boost over his/her opponent. For example, the Hawkmoon is broken. Every duel should be balanced. It takes three shots to end someone with my legendary hand canon (that's with headshots). Along comes Hawkmoon and they can drop you in 2 shots or 3 body shots if they are getting the random +damage. That, in my opinion, should never happen. Stats like radar stays active, missing returns ammo into chamber, increased effective range/accuracy, etc. are fair stats. The thing is, when it boils down to the 'duel', the determining factor should only be who is better. You take 2 equally talented players and give one a weapon that can do more damage like the Mythoclast once did, the Mythoclast will win every time.

  • Every weapon is "balanced" in the crucible. People can own face with the Khostov because attack isn't relevant. From a PvE perspective this weapon is worse than every brand new legendary because it has 8 less attack. While it might not seem like much it does matter. I read a thread on the reddit forums where a mathlete showed how attack scales versus the level of enemies. The only thing i remember was level 16 enemies took more damage up to 248 attack.

  • What are the highest rated, most renowned, and highest competitive payout multiplayer games in the world? Dota 2 and LoL. They have random mechanics that don't often but still can determine the outcome of highly competitive games. This means that games become more about momentum than just skill. Unique weapons, Orbs of light and supers build momentum and i feckin love it. Their are so many vanilla shooters out there that have time and again failed to reach the level of competition of the MOBA (Multiplayer online battle arena) genre. So i really can't see why the unique, defining aspects of destiny should change to an already almost redundant formula.

  • I thinks it should be the same attack value as every other exotic in PVE. Its a no brainer. PVP is something I don't play so that's another fight.

  • I hear you... Pvp is broken badly... the weapons should all have base stats in PvP... each weapon type should have their own strengths and weaknesses... And all perks should be removed... THAT makes PvP balanced... Not nerfing guns for both PvP and PvE, especially since PvE has nothing to do with PvP.
