i recently made a warlock and i just looove voidwalker but i just don't understand sunsinger. what is it useful for, spamming grenades and taking less damage? is it just a support class? i would really like to know the benefits of it because i would love to use it more often but i just cant find a good situation for it. all those sunsinger warlocks out there, can you let me know the benefits of the overall class and what radiance is good for? thank youuu :)

The same "point" as a Voidwalker. Not to be a smartass, but get you to see this correctly. The Voidwalker is a NUKE. You have the ability to deal out MASSIVE Amounts of damage in a very narrow slice of time. So how to use a Voidwalker is very intuitive. Use your Nova Bomb whenever you want to make your whole screen blow up. The Sunsinger does have a support *aspect* to it, but its biggest thing is that is a DPS subclass. That deals MASSIVE DAMAGE OVER TIME. Nova Bomb is great.....until you miss. Now you've shot your wad, missed your target...and you're basically the Master Chief until your super recharges. Radiance allows you deal out the same sort of damage that a Nova Bomb does...but to deal it out in smaller packets over a longer period of time. So you can be much more FLEXIBLE in how you deal out that damage...and no single attack is particularly critical. So Radiance is ideal for either attacking or defending a particular LOCATION. Espeically in PvP...and especially if you're a Sunsinger who has Gift of the Sun (a second solar grenade) and has equipped Heart of The Praxi Fire (Praise The Sun). A Sunsinger that is kitted out like this bascally turns into a DRAGON for 15 seconds you can thrown grenades almost continually. You have a melee attack that deals out massive damage (one hit kills in PvP). You take reduced damage from enemies. So a Radiant Sunsinger who knows how to play their Warlock can single handedly wipe out groups of enemies it would normally take an entire fireteam to deal with....and in PvP can burn entire fireteams to ash. ...and then there's the ability to resurrect yourself in high-level PvE play where Nightfall strikes and hard-mode raids normally exact a sever penalty for dying.

"Shit, we only have three alive and Atheon's almost dead! Shoot him quick!" *kills self* "WTF! Are you stupid brah? Damn, we've been teleported. That's a wipe." *self-revives* "Or nah." \[T]/

To rule.

I like reviving in pvp and turning around and punching the guy that killed me. With scorch, that's s one hit ko. Also revive is dead useful in the raid and nightfall. And yes, spamming grenades is actually quite fun, especially when you get a triple down in pvp :)

It's kinda like an insurance policy with the self revive. You have it and it's there but you never really use it unless you have to. Some never use it some use it alot more than other people
-
one word : revival you can save a boss fight with that
-
Sunsinger can make the difference in the hard raid with Fireborn ... I save my super in case things go South. Last night, it made the difference in the raid I was on.
-
Watch the world burn.
-
One word. Orbs
-
It is helpful when running Nightfall and Hard Raid, on nightfall i have used sunsinger to save us from going back to orbit quite a few times. Hard raid well you get a second chance if you make a mistake so your team is not 1 man down.
-
Best zone control in the game. Praise the sun!
-
To save your ass from a nightfall where everyone died when the boss had 2% health
-
Self revive. Best thing ever. Plus easy orbs because super kills are counted by regular gun kills.
-
Its extremely usefull in the raid when you self revive, it is more of a support class. I find it extremely effective in pvp ive had my best matches using sunsinger
-
Five reasons. Self revive. Self revive. Self revive. Self revive. Sticky grenades.
-
Angle of light upgrade, perch yourself in mid air for 3 seconds. Does wonders in PvP.

Edited by Judge_Rhymehold: 12/5/2014 4:35:35 PMYes it is a(should be used as) support class (not a good enough one. I'd like to see group shield/health refill). Radiance has the perk to reduce team mate cool downs to further the support aspect. Or revive helps keep the team alive longer when all three perish. Or the selfish over shield. It also is really good at causing damage over time by using the ignite perk and the further damage enemies ignited. While radiance is active a solar elemental weapon will ignite enemies and cause damage over time!! Solar machine gun is a good investment. Not to mention sticky grenades! And the solar grenades paired with the exotic sun singer gauntlets puts on quite the show! :) I'm sure I've left things out. At work so can't look it up. These are just off the top of my head.

Self revives

If u try using voidwalker in a raid, you have failed as a warlock, voidwalker for pvp, sunsinger for pve, thats my opinion
-
Voidwalker is more fun to use. Sunsinger just has revive

Edited by ill skillz: 12/8/2014 6:40:40 AMRumble is a good place for hunters and sun singers. Gift of the sun and void fang vestments are the shit. Two grenades every life is a killing machine. Specially when people rush you with shotguns. STICK........ Now if you can't aim for shit then whack on the fireboat grenades and finish with suros or bad ju ju. Radiance isn't the best super but remember melee kills instantly during radiance
-
It's meant for cheaters who feel the need to push a boss off a platform, or solo players who want that self revive.
-
Uh.....you're literally a fire breathing dragon zombie when you revive. No more needs to be said. Praise the Sun!
-
Praise the Sun!

Self rez is really all it has. Other than that it's mediocre at best and just plain boring at worst.
-
Sun singer has self res. also had many other perks to help a team out and not just you
