New level cap for NON raiders?
Hello Bungie, I am thinking about getting The Dark Below dlc, if only for the new bounties as I'm pretty bored of the current ones lol! I am wondering if I will still be stuck on both my guardians at level 29 and a quarter? will I soon be stuck at the new.. 31 and a quarter? I have been playing since release, everyday.. all day.. BUT I cannot raid! it is not possible for me to due to me being disabled and having VERY painful hands, I cannot commit to a raid because I need to have breaks from shooting every 15 minutes for at the very least 5 minutes.. (I refuse to be "carried" through a raid! thank you but no thanks!) I love your game as it is an escape from real life, I can run around yay! I cannot do that irl ... I really hate the fact that you can only reach the level caps by doing something that for some is just not possible!

3 RepliesThere are plenty of people that would gladly take a 5 min break in between check points I would gladly help you my self if your on xbone gt:press rt I don't think if you get 5 good player you should have any issues.

If you never play the raid why do you need the max light level anyway?

It seems very likely that 4 new pieces of armor available through the Raid will be the only way you go from 30 to 32. I don't Raid either because I don't can't find a group, prefer not to talk much when it comes to online games, and most importantly, just don't have time to commit to a long Raid session. I have no plans on buying any DLC unless I hear about a level increase without Raid armor. Though, Bungie has clearly shown they don't give two f***s about solo players. I just hope they don't bump up the level of the Nightfall and Weekly Heroics for everyone just because there's a new level cap for those that buy the DLC.

This game was a pve game to start with they added pvp if you want to hit max lvl with pvp only I fear your playing the wrong game

I take a contrary position based on any game like this that has level progression through gear. IB was a way for them to gather numbers and test it out. My guess would be that for non-raiders (I am one too, I have done the raid twice), that current legendary gear will be increased to allow more light and level 30 when 32 is the max. If Destiny is anything like other like this, the VoG will eventually become obsolete. They will have to have a way to non-raid your gear level if they want to include events like Iron. It may be that level 30 gear can be obtained from Strikes/Marks/Xur etc.

The simple answer is no you will be stuck at 29 unless you got iron banner gear or you get a exotic and one piece of raid gear but again I think you can do oracles Atheon gatekeepers Templar and gorgons in under 10 min you would prob only have issues with confluxe

3 RepliesEdited by Kriegar3: 11/27/2014 9:26:00 AMIf you don't raid you'll definitely be stuck at something, you won't be capped. Raiding is very easy. I assume you play the strike playlist. It's no more challenging than that after you've run it once or twice with a friendly team showing you the way. You could very easily play normal and hit 30 with an exotic helmet and never go near hard mode. Hard mode is just for people who collect loot really. There's no functional reason to go there unless you want the Vex Mythoclast, Fatebringer, Foil or a raid helmet. The Sparrow is meh, especially since you can make a DIY sparrow or just get the much more fun Tumbler.
