Tomorrow Exotics *might* get buffed or nerf'ed!!! *UPDATED*

As the tittle states.
What are your thoughts on this?
What do you think about the Bad JuJu; what will change?
How is the Vex Mythoclast going to out-perform every primary gun in PVE.
Will the Suros get a Nerf? It is speculated it my get a range or impact decrease.
Will Red Death get its Rate of Fire increased?
Thorn go back to its glorious state?
Let's not forget about Pocket Infinity! Which was one of the most unnecessary nerfs.
Let me know what you think.
Personally I own all this weapons and can't wait for this changes to take effect.

None stop updates before DLC for us?? Series does not justify 2 past updates. So we must be getting one tomorrow.
We still have 2 weeks before the DLC. Someone mentioned below that it would make sense for the patch to take effect a week before the DLC. But what if some weapons need a fix because they game break and so they need the extra week to redo them before the DLC. otherwise it may interfere with the new content.

So we *might* not see an update tomorrow. But we are still hoping we will. If you been following Deej. Then you know he mentioned there would be a series of updates. Series is not 2 updates- there for we might get one tomorrow but could it be the Exotics one?

All guns on the list they gave are being buffed not nerfed even suros it has been under performing compared to some legendary guns I believe it comes Tuesday b4 dark below

1 ReplyEdited by Raider TCK: 11/27/2014 8:13:18 PMThe vex needs its reserve ammo increased. At least double it. 168 rounds is incredibly low and makes the weapon unviable for longer missions. Using one in a raid is incredibly impractical. It's damage is also far too low. It needs to be doubled to even compete with the vision of confluence. Bungie has stated that the suros is still to powerful. There is a reason everyone who has one uses it in pvp. Pocket infinity needs a charge rate and range buff. 8 shots in the mag was slightly too much. Super good advice needs to be completely overhauled. Same goes for bad juju and thorn.

Thorn needs the DoT perk upped again, reload speed increases to same as the last word, and increase mag size to eight. Red death needs the rate of fire increased and they need to fix the glitch of it stopping in between shots from time to time. Bad juju I have no idea because I don't have it. Suros regime I think the impact should be reduced a bit and it would be fine. Mythoclast needs to be upped again to the original power in PvE. Super good advice still no idea because I've never used it.

Buff thorn so it has it's DoT put back to what it was and maybe 7 or 8 bullets in the mag instead of 6 and a faster reload speed.

1 ReplyTrying not to self advertise, but I do have a link where I have a poll on how the Bad Juju should be buffed: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/79992136/0/0 As for the topic itself, I would like to see Suros get a nerf, but not to the point where it's been nerfed to oblivion. A simple decrease in impact can bring it down to earth since Crucible dictates the weapon's damage based on the Impact. The Vex should get a Damage buff, it was OP in PVP because of both the Damage and Impact, so just bringing the damage back up should make it a very fun gun to use in PVE while not being OP. Thorn should get a mag increase and have it's ability fixed after the Iron Banner launched. I think 10 rounds will help offset the reload. I'm crossing my fingers that Bungie does the right thing if they do buff and nerf the Exotics when the update hits.

Doesn't really matter at this point...A whole new set of offerings are coming. Out with the old..in with the new. Hopefully Bungie can find a way to nerf weapons only for PVP. It will be a real shame if they can't or won't.

4 RepliesBungie needs to create more PVP game modes. Instead of trying to please everyone and constantly change every aspect of a few game types they need more options. There should be an exotic free PVP playlist where everyone gets to pick out of standard weapon load outs, in addition to a playlist similar to what we have now. They need more game types like CTF, or an arena shooter style playlist similar to Halo where everyone spawns with the same weapons and there are weapon spawns around the map. I get bored in the crucible with only 4 game types. More game types would give everyone a chance to find something that fits what they're looking for.

I'm very curious to see what they'll do to Pocket Infinity. Is it a buff or a nerf ? I'm loving the weapon more and more. I really needed a powerful ohk weapon to counter those cqc shotties when my ar is at a disadvantage and P.I. fits the bill since I can't stand using a shotgun. Go into a room, switch to PI,vrrr,vrr,vrrrrrr..

7 RepliesWhat they need to do, is make separate tracking lists for PVE and PVP. In fact, when you enter crucible, you should just automatically get a set list of weapons you are FORCED to play with. While people will BAW the only way to make PVP 100% fair, which is what everyone keeps whining about anyway, is to make all the weapons the same and FORCE balance. Each player would begin with one of each weapon class in their inventories (titles "Crucible Loadout") and dropped into battle. The only time this should not be the case is Iron Banner, which would also make it more exciting. I'm tired of PVE players suffering because of PVP. If the weapon is beautiful in PVE it should NOT BE NERFED IN PVE because people are bitching about it in PVP. It should have stat tweaks for PVP only. The reason it gets nerfed in both is an oversight by Bungie in which they obviously didn't create TWO SEPARATE weapon control options for PVE and PVP and have now screwed themselves. In a perfect world for tl;dr: 1. All Exotics would be returned to FACTORY RELEASE stats for PVE. Any weaker ones requiring a buff would be buffed. 2. All weapons in PVP would have SEPARATE controlled stats from PVE so Bungie could tweak effectiveness as such for Crucible modes only. In a perfect world, Crucible would pull a Halo and just start guardians off with the same damned weapons so the bawwing would end. See MASS EFFECT 3 and how it handles it's online Firefight mode. Weapons appear exclusively in that mode, but are all evened. It might not be PVP but it's a good model for this scenerio. However, since Bungie has been around a while I'm of a mind that they KNOW all this and are doing it intentionally, which is probably why they've pissed off and driven away so many players.

Red Death: Dont think it needs a buff. maybe to its rate of fire though... Truth: needs a nerf. Aggresive tracing and proximity, do you really need to aim? I say change one of those perks to something like DoT or something. Universal Remote: needs to drop for me already!!!! lol
