How to fix the obsession with level cap
You can't. People want to be at the highest level. Even if you replace it with a gear score (which is basically what level is above 20) people will want to max it. There is also the tendency to only raid with those of equal or higher level. Again, this can't be avoided. It's not that people *need* to be 30, it's that (1) it gives them a sense of completion and (2) others tend to take 30s over 29s when presented the choice.

8 RepliesYou shouldn't have to do the Raid in order to get to Lv.30. You want to make the Raid special, put uber weapons like the Mythocast or Atheon's Epilogue in there but for Christs sake you can't put the only armour in the game that can get you to the max level in the Raid.

1 ReplyOnly thing that bothers me with this only 30's on hard raid trend that's going on is, nobody was 30 to start with, so it can be eat with just 29's, it's just that you ppl already at 30 are a bunch of lazy mofos that don't want to do anything hard

The very important time is during Atheon, to take the relic on venus is way more easier for a level 30 and so to kill atheon faster rather than restart the Atheon part 1000 times because a 29 was killed. But ! its totally possible to do everything in the raid for a 29 even in hard, its just less easy. So If I had to choose between a 29 and 30 (and none of them are a friend), I would choose every f time the 30 :D (I have 3 level 30, a platinum trophy and did the raid a loooot of times so I know what I'm saying)

5 RepliesAdd a rank system similar to halo 2s, where in the crucible, winning and losing means advancing, and declining in rank, halo 2s went up to 50, if you won you gained "exp", lost, you lost said "exp" you could be a rank 25 one game, then lose 5 and end up at 24. Boom, problem solved.
