Add a rank system similar to halo 2s, where in the crucible, winning and losing means advancing, and declining in rank, halo 2s went up to 50, if you won you gained "exp", lost, you lost said "exp" you could be a rank 25 one game, then lose 5 and end up at 24. Boom, problem solved.

I like it but, what about people not playing PvP though?

  • This is an interesting question and suggestion. I have been thinking a lot about Bungie making a new faction of Scavengers who are committed to collected stuff from the past. A faction for PvE Farmers, unique gear and rank plus the ability to sell them materials and buy materials which presumably they would sell to other factions. No reason we couldn't have leader boards or a ranking system in game for the people who farm the most. Also if available (for example) Relic Iron for sale was an amount per day based on the amount sold to the Scavengers then the community would directly benefit from PvE Farmers. We already have to farm individually but this way people who liked to farm could benefit those who don't and receive some kind of recognition from other farmers and the community. Most Scavenged Total, Most Scavenged by Type, Most efficient (Total scavenged/time spent scavenging) etc. Raid ranking, Patrol ranking, really any activity could be ranked and tied to community recognition. Right now they do those announcement things celebrating guardians, well the person who had the most planet side revives is all well and good but what if someone saw that and thought challenge accepted and then went and surpassed it but doesn't receive an announcement? Sorry rambling tl;dr I think that any activity could be ranked so that every type of playstyle has its own community recognition in a model similar to PvP rankings.

  • That's a well thought plan that should be implemented.

  • Thanks for the response. I had actually written a brief piece on this and then never posted it. However since you liked it I made a separate post with details located here http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/79864549. Basically what I am saying is whatever comes of this is all your fault :)

  • What about people not playing PvP? Im not talking about anything special, I.e. weapons, armor etc; im just saying add a ranked pvp playlist.
