Suros is the best primary in PvP I will give you that, but I will take my Shadow price with a Truth or Galahorn any day.
To be honest I think all Primary weapons under preform, even in pvp they just are not worth having. An Ice breaker in pve or a exotic rocket launcher in pvp are just better choices. All primarys should be buffed to make you really make a choice and the Suros does not need a nerf all other primarys need a buff.

I prefer an exotic heavy to, but i definitely disagree with Suros being the best primary. My vote goes to The Last Word.

Edited by Malzarius: 11/26/2014 12:36:27 AMI will take my Hawk Moon over a Last word anyday of the week, sorry Xbox users you are missing out on the best pvp weapon in the game. as far as heavy ammo goes, machine and rockets are both great the only problem with machines guns is they can not hold their own vs the Truth or Gjallahorn but against anything else they are the better weapon. Thunder Lord is the beast of PvP until you run into a well placed rocket.

lol an exotic rocket launcher is a better choice for PvP.... Eh no it's not when a machine gun can earn you a much higher kill spree than a noob launcher.

this^ I get 5-10 kills with my MG where I would only get 3-5 with a rocket. Not to forget that you can kill rocket users before their rocket kills you.(1 for 1 trade why not)

I mostly use crucible to do bounties, sorry that the postmortem bounties and a few others just -blam!- my KDA. Also my recent match history speaks a lot better than when I first started.

Because you can get way more kills with 1 heavy ammo pickup in the crucible. I can get 6-8 (more if ppl are close together for quick doubles) on average with 1 ammo pickup using the zombie apocalypse. It's more efficient. Rockets r only good for a quick couple kills. As for the gjallarhorn in pve, it does the most dmg due to the wolf pack rounds. Hard to beat a rocket with 8 or so mini explosions on a single large enemy, or cluster of small ones.

You are wrong, with raid gear you get 4 to 6 rockets depending on how many extra heavy ammo slots your gear has and when I cross the map and kill people like you using a machine gun you just refill my ammo. I used to use the same machine gun as you and loved it, but it just doesn't compare when good players target you and you refill their ammo

I believe the solution to this disagreement is to agree that I may just be better with an mg than you and you may just be better with a rocket launcher than me. Because even a small refill of ammo for me from a kill (18 bullets) is worth 2 or 3 kills, whereas that 1 extra rocket would net me 1-2 kills depending on grouping of enemies. Nonetheless, both are good in the right hands.

I will agree with Jonbot apples or oranges and your K/D says you are not better then me you are equal with your best guy and behind my 2nd hunter. I agreed with you the MG is better if you run into others with an MG or any other Primary because like you said you can get a lot more kills, but your MG doesn't stand a chance to a 1 hit tracker round rocket even if you kill me which is rare the rocket is going to dump you also. both are great weapons in the right hands the only problem I ever have with my MG's are like I said rockets you can almost never avoid a well shot tracker. It is not 1 extra rocket it if you have 2 pieces of raid gear with heavy ammo increase you get 6 starter rockets and 2 for every pick up kill off someone else with heavy. Plus when If I know I am going to die with my rockets I can blink in your face and self suicide to kill you and the kill doesn't count for you and you get zero heavy in return but I get to come pick yours up when I am alive.

Well, it's apples and oranges. I can go on a much larger spree with 150 mg bullets than 2-3 rockets. Pve I'm not going to argue gjallarhorns greatness, but I do prefer the MG for smaller targets.
