Every time I turn off my PS4 the game deletes all heavy ammo from all of my characters. In PvE.

This started about 3 or 4 days ago. I've done a bit of testing and it doesn't appear to happen when I do things like changing from one character to another. It definitely happens every time I turn off the PS4, regardless of whether I do or don't log out of the game or close the game prior to turning off the PS4. It's really frustrating to have to reacquire heavy ammo on all of my characters every day. It's not like it drops frequently anyway. Hopefully someone will see this and the issue can get looked at. I am presuming this is the right section to post for help and bugs as it's the "help" section. It's my first time to post in Bungie forums in at least several years, possibly ever. Someone please help. Please fix this issue. Thank you. Edit: selected "help" category. Did not know how to do that initially. Also, just to make sure there is no confusion I will restate that this issue occurs if I log out of Destiny before turning off the PS4, it occurs if I don't log out of Destiny before turning off the PS4, it occurs if I do close Destiny before turning off the PS4, and it also occurs if I don't close Destiny before turning off the PS4. Logging out, not logging out, closing Destiny, and not closing Destiny have no effect on whether I lose all heavy ammo. I lose all heavy ammo regardless of these factors. Testing these variables was the first thing I did. I normally always log out before closing Destiny and turning off the PS4 because of how terrible PSN is and I'm aware of these kinds of issues. The only time I haven't logged out first was after the problem with the heavy ammo began just so I could test and see if it made a difference. It didn't.

  • Dude no matter what you lose it it's not a bug. You can't collect 5 rockets, go offline then start a strike and still have them. It's easy to get it back to, just kill enemies haha

  • It's part of the game. Since day 1, you spawn with no special or heavy ammo when you first log in

  • This has always been the case with Destiny. I always assumed it was by design.

    • Yeah I am having the same issue and its not right! I used a Consumable to replenish my heavy ammo, and when I went into my inventory to swap out from heavy MG to Rocket my 120rds went down to 3/0. I attempted to re-check my MG's thinking I choose the wrong MG, coming out of inventory back to game-mode/story with the right MG, I now had 2-out-0 bullets left... I think Bungie needs to fix this, because I am wasting Glimmer to have consumable ammunition packs... Its a waste and at this point I think using the ammo that is dropped in the game-mode/story is the wisest choice especially since its FREE, but not dropped nearly as much as the primary & secondary is.. Good luck man! Hope to see what Bungie does, I can't complain that much its a great game over-all now to fix the little things that matter.. #ColoStayGold

    • I can hold 7 for my rocket launcher but If I die or I leave the planet I will keep losing 2 until I am down to 1 in reserve.

    • You should always log out before turning off the game. There is a lag between feedback when just shutting the system off. I had similar troubles except my characters would lose levels.
