Some of you take this way too seriously.
Destiny is just a game!!! Not real life... Games were made to relieve stress, and a lot of you are just turning it into stress! Just have fun, play a couple hours, chill with friends, get a gf, and then maybe play some more. If you want to farm, farm. If you want to do it the hard way, do it the hard way. Just stop complaining and enjoy the game
Edit: P.S. Destiny is a simple game and you will rant and complain about how bad it is... But why not complain about how bad the economy is or ISIS? Get your priorities straight and enjoy something that was given to us for pleasure
Edit: okay last thing. we are all entitled to our own opinion, so this is mine!! Not trying to say you aren't allowed to complain, just don't complain to the point that you can't let others enjoy the game.

12 RepliesISIS is not a priority for anyone in the US as of right now. it is a giant whirlpool sucking in all the extremists from around the globe, uniting them under one banner to be bombed later. ISIS will never strike at the west. ever. the economy? only the people with money have the power to change that. which im willing to bet is no one on this forum. maybe you should get YOUR priorities straight.

3 RepliesI'm happy with my purchase but I can understand some frustrations about it. I'm addicted to loot games though so maybe that's why I don't mind. I think if the lore was in game people wouldn't be as upset about the story. Dark souls is a recent game that comes to mind which tells its story from items and not really the gameplay.

1 ReplyI completely agree with the last bit of your statement. Far too often are people so entrenched in pop culture and entertainment that they forget about REAL issues. However, assuming that people who are passionate about video games are too serious, don't forget, it's no different from pursuing some other interest. Sports is a very good example. People are downright obsessed with athletes they'll never meet, and throw money down to go to games they can't even participate in. So it can go that way with anything. The "forever alone" stigma attached to gamers is getting rather old. Let people speak their minds and live their passion without such recourse and reprimand.

It's called passion for something that you like. That's what a hobby is. You will defend it no matter what. Everyone has something like that and to some Destiny is that. Personally not me, though I like Destiny, I won't get up in arms about it. And I agree with ytour example. If we put the kind of effort we do in games and sports to serious real world situations, think of what could be accomplished. So much science to be unlocked.

I've definitely played games this year that were more severely lacking any kind of game at all than destiny ( I'm looking at you titanfall! ) but everyone who spends money has right to complain.

I think mature commentary is welcomed when it is measure, justified and then reasonable minds can disagree all day as long as they want, but please see this game on its own merit and not from "it's not what I expected" syndrome. I think the share world fps is revolutionary and just in its infancy.

How about going and completing Basic Training, or a year of college? How about being a father, a husband, or the eldest male in a VERY old-minded German family. THAT is stressing, THAT is painful when it fails. THAT is life, and life doesn't come with returns, saves, or Power Switches that you can hit when you like and come back to it. Games help us to get AWAY from life. If this game is causing you that much anger/stress/hate, mebbe it's time we put down the controller and get out and LIVE some. And before anyone tries to hit me with "Well I has lived and it still sux", look kid. I've nearly died 3 times, I take care of my life, and now I just enjoy chilling and killing with some friends. (Sorry for preaching, but dang the children... hahaha) I've learned to let things GO.

And when i play a game that i spend my hard earned money on and feel that it was worth it...i'm very relaxed. But when i play something that feels like they literally went to work daily and went "pfff we can sell this on name alone ahahahaha" and isn't even worth 20$....well i get really pissed over that.

I agree 100% this is just a game and if it makes you stress then stop playing. The problem is now all the trolls will be hating you for whatever reason they spout to try and make you feel sorry for them, well don't haters hate as that's all they have to offer.
