Exotic Bounty Crucible requirement is rediculous
The Exotic Weapon Bounty with crucible requirements are laughable. Not only are you forced to use one specific damage type, you are also forced to go massively positive every game with those weapons in order to get any progress in them. The death removing progress on the bounty encourages people to quit instead of continuing to play losing games, reducing the enjoyment of everyone else in the game. These steps are absurd when you can easily get an exotic just playing the crucible without the restrictions and doing poorly.
EDIT: Apparently you even lose progress if you die while the game is over and the score screen is being shown. That's absolutely retarded.

I have Thorn, and getting that sexy hand cannon took so much hard work, patience and some good friends that I owe a beer to for helping with the final strike. That I'm going to use that hand cannon until it degrades and turns into dust....

Thanks, soooooo basically the way to get these is spend a crap ton of money and time. Right. Can't wait to tell everyone when they ask where I got that. "Oh I spent hours killing the 1st ten enemies in the Nightfall mission over and over for 3 hours, then I spent 8 hours in the crucible getting killed by shotguns and blade dancers then I bought 56 weapon packs, and 4 mods with strange coins and then they gave me this exotic." Oh boy. I'll just farm coins and wait for the weekends with Xur. And continue getting blues from the Cryptard with every purple I hand him.

The bounties are annoying yes. But if you just pace yourself instead of just trying to hurt through them they are actually really fun. And theyll make you a bit of a better player hopefully in PvP

They are [b]exotic[/b] bounties if course they are going to be challenging. I completed mine so they are not that hard, but they are a bit tough.

Why would death encourage people to quit a match? A match loss does not matter at all only k/d ratio. I hate the run and gun style of the crucible but I like the challenge since I never play PvP. So far I've played about 15-20 matches and am over 60% done with that part of the bounty. At least I'll feel like I've actually earned the thorn.

I hate PvP but thorn wasn't hard to do under six hours over two days.

I agree, forcing people who HATE pvp to fight with players that have nothing to do but learn exploits and do pvp all day is more than a little unfair, I have deleted 3 exotic bounties simply because I refuse to do pvp, it's not worth me wasting my time playing something I do not enjoy, Destiny has failed me and It will now collect dust. I have more fun on free to play games FFS, and no it is not about "challenge" i've soloed several Nightfall raids since the "social" aspect of this game is practically non-existent and I can't find anyone to group with, this is about forcing people to do something they hate to get anything worthwhile.

If your doing this bounty with your warlock you cant really say much....your melee and grenade kills also give you points. I have this quest as a hunter and the only way I can do it is with weapons with void dmg.....I personally think it should just be slightly adjusted were asisssts give you two points

Despite how much I hate having to do this to get my Thorn, I still think these bounties are awesome. They are really challenging so you feel like you've actually worked to get your reward. Except Invective. That was god damn easy :S

2 RepliesYou've only done 7 games bro... and your half way there... just keep at it exotics are sopose to be hard to get I have two exotic bounties at the moment and the other one requires 10 rare or higher fusion rifles to be dismantled and fml needless to say that one will take a while compared to just going positive in pvp

3 RepliesWell, exotics are the rarest and most powerful weapons in the game so far, so naturally they should only be earned by someone who is extremely interested in and devoted to working for them through challenging requirements. Nobody is forcing you to do this bounty, and if you don't want to do the work to get it than you don't deserve to have an exotic weapon, that's the point if the bounty/difficulty in getting all powerful items.

4 RepliesJust finished this one. I just ran around with nothing but a void shotty and launcher. Had to use my underleveled Voidwalker class as well, but I got it after about 6-7 matches. All I can say is just keep using nothing but void and hopefully you'll finally be successful. I wish you all luck!
