Destiny withdrawal support group
For anyone who is already suffering from destiny withdrawal. This is an open group and we support all people with their varrying levels of addiction.
Edit #1 due to the taken king expansion, the form post has been re opened to help all new players and veteran deal with their addictions

My name is Jaeger. I was addicted to Destiny for 10 days until my supply was cut off. I have been sober for 2 days now and the withdrawal symptoms are starting to intensify. I'm not sure what to do with these urges and I find myself power sliding down flights of stairs for no apparent reason. I need help...

Hello I am Redslicer86 and I am going though major Destiny with draws. The first time I saw that message to wait until 9/9 it made this grown man want to cry. I find myself doing real life stuff now to pass the time. Where the fun in polishing rims and working on my classic truck or even registering for fall classes. I play video games so I don't have to worry about that stuff yet now this hole the beta left leaves me no choice. Where is my escape where I can lose myself in being someone or something else while getting out my throat ripping out desires. I am begging for help help help me make it to 9/9 which feels years and years away. P.S. I know someone right now is like wow this guy needs a life, However if I am not mistaken don't we all game to have fun and escape the world we are in even if it's just for short amount of times. Oh and about the throat ripping out desires I blame the army for making me easier to reach that side of me.

It has been a while since I last played. I dream about it sometimes. I have nightmares of the interceptors and the darkness coming for me. I can almost feel my knife sticking into the throat of a fallen. Sometimes I get a sense of weightless in my dreams when I jump up into the air. I get flashbacks whenever I see a red light... I think "Snipers". I tried to play other games, but I only end up trying to summon my sparrow. I can hear his voice you know. During the day I hear Peter Dinklage calling for me, telling me to help him protect the world from the darkness. I want to go back. I want to trade this life for 5 more seconds in that world. Just one more strike, one more crucible, one more event. I'll never be the same unless I am holding a Golden Gun in my hands. I haven't turned off the PS4 since the beta. Now I just sit there watching, waiting... I occasionally leave it on standby at times. I read the words "Your mission is complete". These words are what hurts the most.

2 RepliesI awoke this morning and loaded the Beta in hopes it would let me on. I ended up just staring at the start screen and listening to the music. I hope the cold sweats, hallucinations, and shivers end soon. Destiny withdrawals are brutal. So cold.....

1 ReplyHello, My name is ITBandit and i am a Destiholic its been 50 hrs since I last looked at the Cosmodrome. I had worked hard. grinding my Vanguard lvl 2, jumping in and out of explore mode to do Bounty missions(Highest vanguard XP, PLUS spinmetal that can be turned into MORE XP). All so i could buy that sweet Hunter emblem. I was a third of the way to lvl 3 and wanted just to see if I could reach it before nights end. At 1600 I was called to my parents house with the allure of BBQ Tri-tip. I had no idea I would find out it was closing much earlier than i had anticipated. I thought for sure they wouldn't close it until 23;59 PST. I looked down at my phone, just before eating that piece of mouth watering meat. and found that i was wrong... My meal lost its flavor, I drove my brother to the airport that night. On the way home I listened to Giantbomb podcast talk about THEIR adventures fighting back the darkness. When i got home, I played Halo, if only for the small effect of being able to STAB something in the back and instantly kill it. Last night, I went to bed at 2200, I woke up at 800 the longest I've slept in probably 6 months. Today I've decided to start refinishing my kitchen table. That should kill some time until 9/9/14 right?

It was so disappointing when I returned to see that the destiny beta was offline and I didn't get to play for just a little bit longer. I've tried to log on twice even though I know its done. 42 days and counting.

7 RepliesI woke up in a stupor at 1800 hrs today... I don't know at what point I had fallen into darkness, but I could tell something wasn't right. I looked up and saw a blue screen on my television. The soft white glimmer from my Xbox was gone. The sound of the wind blowing across the barren wasteland of Old Russia was no more. I quickly grabbed my controller and turned on my system. I clicked on "Destiny Beta", ignoring all reason and hoping that this was all a bad dream. To my surprise, the game loaded, and I was greeted by the wonderful sound of Destiny's main theme. I excitedly pressed "A" repeatedly to get to my character screen and behold my battle-hardened Titan. Could not connect to the character server. I knew it was all over. In one instant moment, I knew that my Sunday had changed forever. I would be playing Titanfall, haunted by the memories of my 4 day adventure into the wonderful and mysterious world of Destiny. Now, I must be continuously taunted and reminded of my lost love every time I get into a "Titan"... These are not true Titans... My Titan died with the Destiny Beta.
