2 accounts on ps4 and pc
My question is when to do account migration vs cross save. I have two accounts. One is on Battlenet and the other on PS4. My main account is PS4. Do I need to wait and do cross save over to battlenet on the 21 and then migrate my account? Or is is better to migrate my account and then do cross save? I have all annual passes and DLC on both accounts. I just want everything to be playable.

9 RepliesThe order doesn't matter. Cross-save takes care of your characters, their gear and stats, whereas the migration is just moving PC stuff (content entitlements) from Battle.net to Steam. If you set your PS4 as your cross-save account, then those characters (and their gear etc) will be used to play on PC account. What content you own on a particular platform determines what you can access etc, not the origin of the cross-save characters. Since you own all content on both platforms, you just link and migrate (or migrate and link) and you're good to go.

1 ReplyI have the exact same thing, main account is on PS4 but started a new account on Bnet when D2 went free last year, I stopped playing the PC version when Cross save was announced but now don’t know what to do, the answers here don’t really help, should I sign up for migration and then sign up for cross save? Or does it not matter? Sign up for both and turn in PS4 select main account and go from there?

1 ReplyWhat might not be clear from answers below is you will have to choose one of those accounts to be the cross-save account, to play the same characters/gear on PC and Console You will not be able to merge the characters and gear of your PS4 Destiny account with the current PC account and go forward as one. I have the same issue, a current D2 Blizzard PC account and a PS4 account I stopped playing earlier this year

If you choose to activate cross-save with D2 you will have the ability to choose from one of your PLATFORM saves so that it can be used on all platforms moving forward. For example: Xbox has characters 1/2/3 PSN has characters 4/5/6 PC/BNet/Steam has characters 7/8/9 And you choose the PSN characters then it becomes Xbox has characters 4/5/6 PSN has characters 4/5/6 PC/BNet/Steam had characters 4/5/6 You won't be able to access characters 1/2/3 and 7/8/9 when Cross-Save is active. In order to access characters 1/2/3 and 7/8/9 cross-save needs to be disabled (assuming it can be toggled off and on). If you have D2 content on one platform that's not purchased on another then that doesn't suddenly mean you gain the licenses for those DLC when Cross-Save is active. You still need to purchase the corresponding content for each connected platform in order to access that expansion’s content. Only the base game, Curse of Osiris DLC and Warmind DLC is free-to-play for all platforms this coming September. You need to Buy Forsaken+Forsaken Annual Pass and Shadowkeep for each platform. Cross Save will preserve all gear, character, and items across all platforms regardless of expansion ownership.
