When Will The Lighthouse Be A Social Space?

This is such a cool looking space. When can we open it up for everyone?? I'm assuming not until D2. I want to see vendors and stuff in there. And guardians running around like idiots. Lol Plz Bungie. So in conversation with you surprisingly pleasant people ;) I have arrived at a suggestion. Why not make this a social space, unlocked through a grueling crucible quest. Then seal the chest room with a great door, locked by a Key of Osiris. Upon flawless victory it doesn't say 'Kyllap has achieved the ultimate victory' it says 'Kyllap has found the great key of Osiris.' Then you fly in to Mercury with the same cut scene. And all the salty guardian's can watch as you and your team use your key to access the chest room. Probably lots of grieving emotes going on there. Would be epic.

  • If they ever did and I doubt they will, it will likely not be until we are tasked with dealing with the threat on Mercury. Remember that the Lighthouse is an outpost on a planet currently still controlled by the Vex that has actually been transformed into a machine world. In order for them to open it up as a social space there would need to be a narrative reason for us going there other than to collect our rewards for going flawless.
