The next space race is upon us
Boeing is directly competing with SpaceX to become the first private entity to send people to space, namely send American astronauts to the ISS since NASA had its wings clipped by Congress.
The beginning of the commercial space age may be here, which could mean a lot for humanities place in the stars.

5 RepliesThe real space race is the quietly increasing militarization of the area. Modern armies are reliant on satellite technology, so any conventional war is going to start by both sides attempting to knock the other's satellites out. The speed at which one can replace satellites -- something the US is working on -- is therefore critical.
