House of Wolves will increase the damage to 362, you will have to reset all your exotics, again.
How would you feel about that?
Personally I think that might be the final nail in Destiny's coffin, for me at least. Extending playtime be resetting progress isn't a good mechanic at all in my opinion.

I know about this, doesn't change the hypothetical question and Bungie have gone back on things before.

It was already said in a recent interview with a BUNGIE dev that they won't make you reset it again. Would love to find it and source it but don't have time.

You have to reset your exotics but not for shards and 7777 glimmer...

What they need to do is not make the vanguard gear so high, but workable with the raid. You know how enemies aren't "???" If you're within 3 levels. Maybe if the vanguard armor was 2-3 levels instead of one then it'd me more challenging. Now for the raid. MAKE IT CHALLENGING LIKE THE VOG FIRST WAS. DO NOT MAKE IT CHALLENGING TO THE POINT WHERE ITS NOT FUN! Seriously. I find that the entire Crota raid besides the maze was just not fun. I'm glad there were cheeses for Crota. Granted I wouldn't have "earned" my helmet which I still don't have but I still had fun with it. Hopefully this raid will be challenging for your group not life or death if you don't cheese. Gives people headaches. And for my last opinion on what bungie should do is the exotic things are fine in my opinion. Gives us something to do

Destiny developers had a conversation about not repeating the same mistakes as this DLC. They will not be making you have to reset progress to level up weapons, nor will you have the easy access to buy gear that puts you to level 33 and therefore making the previous raid gear redundant.

If they did, I'd be very unhappy. I was pretty furious with the first reset they did. I got Last Word literally the week before and used a handful of telemetries and no-lifed to max it out in two days, then -bam- reset. Hypothetically if they did, I wouldn't be happy. This doesn't mean I would stop playing, just that it would be tiresome to over again.

If they required CONTINUED development of Exotics to get them to the new level I'd be fine. I've worked for the perks twice now so I don't see why I should have to keep repeating /losing that part. I think they should add additional nodes, glimmer cost, grinding etc but NOT reseting perks. If they do it like that, it will feel more like advancement rather than a kick in the balls / sent back to the beginning. If they do reset, I think I'd call it a day in terms of doing the Raids etc, probably just concentrate on Crucible, Nightfall and Weekly Heroic. Otherwise, it will become like Groundhog day. In other words, I want advancement not reset, proper progression rather than a big step backwards.

If the reset is ongoing- on every patch content. Personally, i will quit. Its a good game, but once you beat everything/ max all class- stats/ Weapons: Gear wise. Thers nothing to do. Even the raids. Lack challenge. This game will die this year 2015 unless they come up with better Gear/ better classes/ races/ upgrades that doesnt force you to RESET every -blam!-ing time. Sorry, to say but i agree with the Review Critics now this game is 4/10.

Really not a big deal. Exotics are fairly easy to level up since you don't need any shards or energies.

I would be fine with buying a shard from xur as long as all the upgrades stay the same. Legendary armor I expect to be obsolete. Need to have something to strive for. Legendary weapons I'm not so sure about. Would be great if u could upgrade them to create more variety. Maybe even with armor.

I'd be fine with it, releveling my exotics. I was fine with my armor becoming obsolete as well. However, I didnt have full VoG armor either.

However, if they find another solution, I am sure I will be OK with it. It seems a lot of you out there don't like grinding. I kinda like grinding. Maybe they will just add some extra bubbles to level or maybe they will do something else. I personally think it should take a while to get them all leveled. As far as the armor goes, I didn't really understand tower gear being better than vog gear. I am not sure of a solution here. Also, I wish they would make vog gear one less level than Crota gear. I think how tower gear should be the same as Crota gear. It shouldn't be higher. I am not completely clear on how they should change this system. I want to have a reason to play vog. I really like it. I don't do it very much, because I have everything it offers. Also, 400 ascendant energy and 300+ ascendant shards.

2 RepliesHonestly I could see them doing the exact same thing to the house of wolves as was done to the dark below. Exotics will be cleared of progress in the sake of armor or damage upgrades, and right off the bat our legendary and raid armor will immediately be obsolete by bender gear. Sure they said things will be different but I don't think I'll expect anything different from them other than a handful of useless currency and new hoops to jump through in order to level up respective factions. Remember how it took a few weeks to get eris to rank 4? Now for the house of wolves special vender,it'll take at least a month. The new HOW raid? You won't see it until a few weeks after the dlc drops,then it'll be only normal while developers watch and patch various ways we play it and implement the into hard . Frankly it's probably why mostly everyone is hording vender commendations and maxing out on marks, to quickly get access to new gear that makes raid gear obsolete.

5 RepliesHave you read the kotaku article? Bungie have said they won't make the same mistake with levelling weapons as they did with dark below. Besides it takes what 2 days at the most to level a weapon? And this is how most mmos do it. (yes I know this isn't a true mmo bla bla bla.....)

1 ReplyFirst of all, I'm sorry for the Rage you get. Some peoples are not accostumed to actually reading it seems. Regarding your Question: I'm not too happy about the grinding as it is. Never was an MMO player so maybe I'm just not used to that mechanic but if they were to add grinding the Stuff I already grinded to grinding new Stuff I would play this Game a lot less. I think grinding is ok as part of the Game but if it became a Game consisting only of grinding with a few new Missions or Strikes here and there... Let's just say the recently announced Borderlands Handsome Edition sounds increasingly attractive. Of course it's similar in many ways but at least there's a Story to it and Characters with, you know, Character.

Im fine w/ resetting Armor Just please not weapons I only have my vex and ib maxed but ill have max ghorn by dlc 3 exotics will take me with limited playtime nearly 1/2 of the dlc
