Gear would be listed at a set price which bungie dictates, just like regular vendors. Not just for glimmer, but vanguard marks and motes and other currencies. Seller would only recurve what he would have gotten from dismantling . In the options menu you could list items as "for sale" and by inspecting your character, people could purchase them from your inventory. If bungie didn't want certain things for sale, they could mark them as permanently "not for sale". This would allow both the buying end and the selling end to benefit more than they do now, and keep it pretty fair so your still have to work hard for nice gear. (You'd still have to pay 65 vanguard marks for some legendary gauntlets, and the seller would receive no additional benefit) Read some of the comments and see what you think.

  • I think it would be a good idea if bungie set the prices. Imagine having a market place instead of viewing people's inventory to look for a price.

    • I'd like to sell gear but I also would want to pick which currency.(I.e. glimmer, vanguard marks, motes of light, crucible marks)

    • Selling gear would defeat the whole premise of the game. With a super low glimmer cap of 25k all u have to do is hit 20 and buy all ur purples and oranges and boom ur 28? -blam!- that horrible idea

      • Please read the explanation not just the title. This comment explains what I mean in greater detail. Prices would be dictated By Bungie. after further debate I've decided it would be most fair if the seller only got what they would have if they dismantled it. The buyer would still have to pay 50-60-100-150 whatever vanguard/crucible marks, or x number of notes of light or whatever. Purchasing currency must be obtained through hard work just like with vendors. There should be No discount for the buyer, no bonus for the seller. the focus would be having lots more armor available to the community, but not make it easier to obtain armor or currency. The point of having more armor is so you can customize your character's armor perks to your individual playstyles. More armor doesn't mean EASIER armor, simply more OPTIONS.

      • I think that would be a great idea as I bought a crap gun and I don't have enough glimmer

        • Well I would like this so I voted yes but this could really destroy the economy and have items selling at ridiculous prices

I disagree with the ability to sell gear to other players. Nearly every game with this type of system is exploited. No selling. Earn your own. By the way, when you break gear down in essence you are selling it. You get glimmer, correct? You get weapon parts, correct? The game is fine how it is. Look at Titanfall and all the crying bitches that made that game a complete failure. Do you want this game to be like that? There is a reason for the way things are in this game, and they have already stated they want you to EARN YOUR GEAR. Don't like it, don't play. Have a nice day. The End. EDIT****YOU CAN ONLY HOLD 25,000 GLIMMER, I have capped it multiple times. Selling gear offers nothing to the game other than exploits and not earning for yourself what others worked for. This will never happen. The End, again, seriously this time.

            • Earn your own gear, you want money or other currency instead, dismantle it. It's a legendary you don't want to dismantle because someone could use it or it took forever to drop? You could use it! Get those shards and energy, you need it to level your gear.

            • Player trading and market results in Gold Spamming. If not in a game chat then it will be here.

              • Ps if you don't want this, please leave a short comment explaining why, because I can't see any drawbacks, but I am not closed off to debate if you do see a drawback.
