Sony is really working hard to get people to pay for a product they don't actually own, kind of reminds me of Apple.
PSN gives you free games you cannot keep, while PS Now looks like you have to pay to play for a set amount of days.....maybe you can buy the game at full price but not be able to play it without PSN.
So what are you thoughts? Do you think Sony still cares about the gamers or scamming us to make a quick buck?

Sony's policies have been bull since they announced the PS4. Everyone just made a huge deal over Microsoft's DRM policy and Sony's cheaper console to actually realize Sony is just throwing services at you for a monthly fee. You are being nickle and dime'd for everything.
-
Also, what were you expecting. You choose a game you want to play, rent it, and that's that. I also love how people say you can't keep the PS+ games. With the amount of games we get, and the fact that the PS4 requires PS+ for MP, who would cancel their subscription? I won't. I've been paying for PS+ for 2 years, and haven't stopped.
-
I don't care.
-
Judging by the screenshot, you're a -blam!-ing dumbass and it clearly shows full PS3 games being sold instead of rented.
Sony is really working hard to get people to pay for a product they don't actually own, kind of reminds me of Apple.
Man, I bet you were right behind MS when all games required a download and then you were restricted to that you could do with them and how you wouldn't actually own the games. Am I right in making that assumption? PS Now isn't any different from a lot of services we have now. You don't own anything on Netflix. You don't own anything on Lovefilm. You dont really own any of those games you've purchased off of XBL marketplace either etc etc. You see where I'm going with this?

Another day, another anti PS4 thread from lonepaul.

No, you don't need PS+ to keep the games, you need it to play them, but not to have them on you HDD. The quantity and the quality of the games and the fact that it stretches across 3 platforms, some of the games even being cross buy, is great. Plus since PS+ is required for online play on the PS4... I see no reason to not stay subbed. Well if it's a downloadable rental service and not a stream than that would be great- I mean. 2 bucks for like 3 days of play time and you can easily knock out single player games in that time. And you don't have to deal with mailing it back or waiting to receive it in the mail or taking it back to redbox if people even use those for games. And then you can just delete it off your Hard Drive when you're done.
PSN gives you free games you cannot keep.
And MS gives you games that you probably already own(ed) or don't have any fucks to give about. True with Sony you have to keep paying for PS+, but the games might as well be free. If the PlayStation is your main system for online than you're going to be having PS+ for as long as it is. Which means if it's for a few years those games are going to stay with you. If you really want the game you can also always buy it for dirt cheap. The other thing is that it might end up being a game you would rather rent than actually spend money on.

lol ps4

I think that'd be great!

I think that I won't be using PS Now anyway because streaming a game is derptastic on a shitty backwater broadband connection. As for the PSN games I cannot keep if I don't renew my PSN subscription. It's cheaper than Xbox Live, I had that pretty much all of the time I had an Xbawx so keeping it for the PS4 is no bother. I'm fairly sure the games still work offline, but I haven't tested that properly. Egerspurge posted this in #garning a few days ago 'I'd rather rent quality than buy crap' Which sums up the whole PS+ vs GWG thing pretty well for me. I would rather have great games, 'to rent' which essentially means for as long as I play on my PS4, than a few old/crap games that I've owned for years.

I don't think you understand what the term "may" means. But you know, a rental service would actually be kinda awesome. Rent a game for like two weeks, it beats buying a game, finishing it then never playing it again.

ROOSTER TEETH FOR THE WIN!!!

Take it to #gaming.
-
I'm fine with this...
-
Rental services are scams? My life is a lie.

So it's basically integrating a stevice like Gamefly, but you still have to wait through a 20+ GB download to play a game for a week. Yeah, this is definitely a quick cash grab.
