Can we talk about Angry Joe right now?
Radiation levels for Austin, TX have increased to dangerous levels due to this man's rage.
But I'll be honest here, I agree with him, despite his blatant incoherent...ness. As a PC gamer, I get enough shit with DRM drama. I love going through the bargain bin at GameStop for new Xbox games!
I don't care about TV. I don't care about faster controller triggers. That's what my Razer controller is for. "ooo! CoD has dogs now!" Grats, MS.
I have literally no incentive to get an Xbox One. I'll get a PS4 for Destiny: no DRM/always online, used game market exists, free online service, PSN Premium rocks anyway, more platform exclusives, indie dev frieindly.
If you're down with the Xbox One, rock on with your bad self. But I can not see myself getting an Xbox One.

Edited by Terry 369: 5/23/2013 4:29:57 PMjoe is one of the better reviewers in general, theres alot of garbage reviewers on youtube and joe breaks away from them, though he does have a bit of bias at times and he doesn't explain important things, but at least he tries to be as honest as possible, even if it is his opinion. plus he makes some good points too. he's not perfect and some of the things he has done have been controversial but he's the only reviewer i know who's actually apologized ans admitted his wrongs.

I'm going to wait until later to make a decision since there is still a lot to be seen from both sides, but the Xbox One isn't looking too good right now.

Well, I guess it was a good thing I have some roots set down in PC gaming. I can get the vast majority of what I want that comes out on the consoles, and have a good setup going. God damn I wish we could just rewind the -blam!-ing clock for gaming these past few years.

Agreed with both you and Angry Joe. There's just too many "big" bad things that come with the Xbox One, such as partially always-on DRM, the whole used games fiasco, Kinect has to always be plugged in, etc.

Yeah, that's where I first heard about the Xbox One being revealed. I've gotta make myself a "Bajam!" .gif sometime. One can't buy either console until after E3, so we basically have to wait for that and see what changes. The PS4 was already interesting me, but now it feels as if it's that or stay PC-only this 'generation'.

4 RepliesYeah I love Angry Joe. He's awesome and doesn't hand out high ratings for games like candy just like most major reviewers do. He gave the game he was raving about for months ahead of time a 7 because he didn't give into hype to decide the game's quality. He does that kind of thing a lot, so his opinion is valid to me. The new Xbox looks horrible because there is zero focus on gaming based on today's event. I'll wait for E3 to make a final decision on it but I'll admit: There is no way in hell I am going to be capable of watching it in an unbiased way and hide my disgust.

2 RepliesIt looks like he's butt hurt about the whole "Pay a fee to play games you don't own." Am I the only one who notices that it says it gives you the option to pay a fee and download the game, (meaning you don't need the disk anymore. Meaning, you can give it back to the friend.) or instead of paying the fee, you can just play the game without downloading?

4 RepliesEhh, I already have a Live account and most of my friends are on Live, and I can't bring myself to abandon the platform that gave me Halo 3, my fiancee, and some of the best years of my life. I'll stick with it. The specs look pretty good even if I have to deal with the M$ crap that we always deal with as their customers. The used games thing doesn't really affect me either as I stopped playing at friends houses when I got Live about 4 years ago. It sucks, I don't know why they are doing this business model. Live should be 20$ a month with other charges for all the paying apps, but oh well. I can accept it. I'll be an MS fanboy till I die. I can't really talk crap about Xbox One when I'm running Windows 7 and am getting a Windows phone in a few weeks.

I agree with Cortana Five and to some extent, Angry Joe. Currently I see myself playing Destiny on PS4, unless Bungie announces the game for PC.

I really like his stuff. He can overreact at times but in general does a fantastic job of pointing that vitriol at things that REALLY deserve it. Especially his "corporate commander" schtick that really hits the nail on the head most of the time. As for the Xbox... games always sell a game console when you get down to it, but... these are some awful consumer-hating policies MS is going with.

I honestly agree with him. Everybody says wait till E3 for games and everything else. It's not so much wanting to see games as much as it is wanting to see a better gaming experience. Theyre alienating their core consumers which is very risky and likely not to pay off when the opinion of those gamers reaches the genral public, which is who Microsoft is aiming for. First impression mean a lot and it seems like Microsoft wasted this chance.
