Alright, PC enthusiasts . . .

I need a power supply and a GPU. With 16GB of RAM, I'd like to find parts that can put it to good use. I want to play games like Skyrim and Battlefield 3/4 at 60 FPS. I care more about frames than res, but I don't want to have awful resolution. Looking at GPU's for Christmas, so my budget is about $300. If I need a higher budget, go ahead and tell me anyway. I don't know a lot about PC's or GPU's, so I don't know how much I'll have to spend to get what I'm looking for. I'll be adding my current parts later, just busy right now. Any ideas?

  • you're not getting a good gpu for just $300... you can snag an old last gen with 2GB of DDR5 VRAM but it would be physically longer, slower, and more wattage consuming than a new, more powerful GPU. you need to spec out the info. if you went AMD or intel? case size, mobo type, etc? that's important as AMD is physically a LOT hotter but cheaper. amd has APUs that combine cpu and gpu.
