you're not getting a good gpu for just $300... you can snag an old last gen with 2GB of DDR5 VRAM but it would be physically longer, slower, and more wattage consuming than a new, more powerful GPU.
you need to spec out the info. if you went AMD or intel? case size, mobo type, etc? that's important as AMD is physically a LOT hotter but cheaper. amd has APUs that combine cpu and gpu.

You can get a good GPU for $300. Where the heel do you look for parts?
-
surely yo don't mean the 700 series? they've been discontinued. all you can find new of the 700 series are crappy things like 2gb 760s.
-
760's are hardly crappy. They're still capable cards. You don't have to go all out with an i7, GTX 980, 32GB RAM and shit. An i5 with a 760 is a more than capable machine.
-
you need more than or 3GB to play things like watchdoges. SLI won't save that.
-
Watch Dogs is poorly optimised shit. A 760 is still a good card.
