TAKE A CUE FROM UBISOFT!!!

I got this email yesterday from UBISOFT regarding some of the issues they've been having with assassins creed unity. If only Bungie had the same integrity. The launch of Assassin's Creed Unity was a highly-anticipated moment for me and for our development teams around the world who dedicated a tremendous amount of energy, passion and skill to the game's creation. For us, it was the culmination of years of work on new technologies, the development of multiple innovations -- including an all-new game engine -- and an evolution of the Assassin's Creed franchise's core pillars. More importantly, we know that it was a highly-anticipated moment for many of you as well, as you looked forward to taking part in the first truly next generation Assassin's Creed game. Unfortunately, at launch, the overall quality of the game was diminished by bugs and unexpected technical issues. I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin's Creed team. These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential. We've been working hard to fix the problems players are reporting, and the patches we have released so far have resolved many of them. Today, we're releasing our third patch, which fixes a variety of specific issues related to the game's stability and performance, matchmaking and connectivity, gameplay and menus. You can find the release notes on that patch HERE. To show our appreciation for your continued support, we're making the upcoming Assassin's Creed Unity Dead Kings DLC free for everyone. For Season Pass holders, we will also offer the choice of one additional game from a selection of Ubisoft titles for free. More details on the offer for Season Pass holders can be found HERE. In addition to the latest patch and this offer, we are committed to delivering further fixes for other issues you've raised. In the meantime, please keep your feedback coming – it has been both humbling and incredibly helpful as we continue working hard to improve the overall quality of the game. We are hopeful that with these forthcoming updates, everyone will be able to truly enjoy their Assassin's Creed Unity experience. We will continue striving to make Assassin's Creed one of the most ambitious and innovative franchises on the market, and we thank you for your continued loyalty and support. Sincerely, Yannis Mallat CEO, Ubisoft Montreal & Toronto That's how you take care of your customer base and player community!!!

  • Shut up dreg... P.s: destiny has almost no issues compared to unity, minus miniscule raid issues (which personally I have not encountered in 2 weeks). I had many friends buy unity, play it once, and return it to their shelves. The game was entirely broken for many.. Where as destiny is not. If you wanna talk connection issues let me just add this: all connection issues are the problems of your internet connection/home network, and in no way is it destinies fault. Destiny servers have been consistently online since launch, minus the occasional weekly update/scheduled maintenance. If destinies servers are online, and others are able to play, the problem is yours, not destinies. And unless you have worked for an internet service provider, or a service which is provided by means of the internet, you have no explicit knowledge on how things work.

    • What I don't get is that AC was horribly broken...how did it get passed the testers and quality control? You answer that question and you realize that all the apologies and excuses don't make up for the fact that they new it was crap but released it anyway, to make deadline or whatever, it's all about the dollar bills ya all!!!

    • Yea they are definitely not doing this out of the goodness of their hearts. Any PR person with a damn is looking at the flack bungie is getting and is taking advantage of that to get some good grace points from the community. Same with 343 and their mcc mishandling. It's really easy to look good I'm that situation lol. It's good for the gamers don't get me wrong, but had any of them been the first to roll out their mess of a game I can promise you they wouldn't be doing what they are doing now. Same as if destiny came out after halo:mcc or acu or fc4. Bungie would probably be more likely to issue the apologies some seem to think they deserve. It's all just PR stunts to differentiate them selves from those who "don't care" about their community. Still. It's good for those gamers who are getting free stuff I guess.

      • I made a thread an hour after the news broke. Quite honestly i just want someone to take responsibility. All that was said was "its not as bad as AC:U" lousy excuse. If we dont start holding people accountable, this will be an ongoing issue.

      • I am really hating all the stupid people saying that AC:U was much worse than Destiny at launch, so this doesn't relate to us. This is a great example of Ubisoft doing something good for the community. Bungie should think of doing the same kind of things. Sure, Destiny was playable at lauch, but they still screwed us over with a 60-70$ price tag for next to no content except grinding for ages. I like the game and still play it, but only the weekly's, nightfalls and crucible. DLC may be fun. Basically, all this guy is showing us is a good example of a company actually caring about the community, and saying that Bungie should take something out of it.

      • Bungie doesn't care they have your money and the same stupid millions of people will continue to dish out the 60+dollars preorder plus another 40 for the season pass every year till "Destiny 10: The Strangers Tits", comes out. It's alll about the $$$$$$$$$$ no one cares about morals.
welcome to the world we all helped make
• Apples and oranges. Unity was an absolute unplayable trainwreck. Destiny had bugs but not even close to the mess that was Unity.

        • There's a difference between an unplayable game (AC) and a game with a few bugs (destiny)

        • To be completely fair, Ubisoft has done a lot worse to their fanbase over the course of their franchises than anything Bungie has ever done. One apology and make-up kiss from a company that consistently shafts their customer base does not make them angels, and Bungie making mistakes does not make them devils.

              • Lmfao, talk about being clueless. AC:U is unplayable, destiny has issues but is playable. Ubisoft literally sold a broken game, destiny is far from perfect, but not broken.

                • Integrity? Right... That's why ubisoft put out a review embargo to try and hide the fact that they knowingly released a broken game? They wouldn't have even made the DLC free if it weren't for low sales thanks to terrible word of mouth and people selling their copies back to stores like crazy. The fact is, people still play Destiny while ACU is nearly deserted. Bungie made a profit from the game so it's unlikely they're going to admit fault and try to lure people back to the game. They already have their money.
