Shout out to the 3 randoms I ran with last night
The reaper , zin is an alien, and gbezy picked them up to join my three for a vault run and it was the smoothest run I ever had. Everyone held their own everyone knew what to do and we destroyed everything without a wipe

7 RepliesActually my favorite thing to do is to take random VOG noobs and try to teach them how to do the raid. Sometimes, I run across really good teams by just random means. There are a lot of assholes that refuse to take noobs or who have no patience with them. Not to mention the people that are level 30 elitists in the hard mode. They forget that someone likely carried them through the normal raid the first time, and even if that is not the case, I guarantee someone carried them through the hard raid to enable them to hit 30. I always have to smh when I see 30s only on destinylfg.net We would have more 30s if we took some 29s with us on every run. At least up to Atheon. However, I have seen some pretty quick Atheon clears with 2 and even 4 x 29s. In the end, my point is that, I am all about random raiding. It can be aggravating at times, but meeting people is what makes this the game I continue to play.

The other day I ran across an amazing group for a hard raid. We wiped once to snipe oracles and another on the Gorgons. We killed Atheon in 2 times vengeances. Whoever you guys were shoutout to you lot :)

I've ran 4 runs in the last week and 3 have been fantastic (thanks destinylfg.com) while one was a bit rough because the guns the weaker guys were running were all blues. I honestly have no problem bringing newbies in, I would just prefer that they have legendary guns (fully upgraded) if at all possible. I say newbie, as if I'm a pro (hardly) I've done it 9-10 times. Still not good enough to not die, but def getting better. Helps I have a ton of upgraded weapons. Finally got my first armor drop yesterday am (on my most recently created character, no less). Super stoked to level them up and hopefully get to 30 soon.

Me and a friend were picked up in the tower by a group of four people to do the raid. We added them as friends and explained that we had never done it and they said cool, no problem. They took us all the way through, explaining as we went and didn't get pissed when we messed up. Very cool bunch of guys.

I had a great pick up group run on Hard mode last night as well. They all ran together and I was the only random (far as I could tell). We had 3 - 30s and 3 -29s. They were chill, the leader gave clear concise direction and no one got upset when we wiped. I think we got through it in just over an hour and score... got the last piece of Raid gear I needed for my Warlock... AND a mythoclast. Bonus... these guys weren't d*cks just because a few of us were 29. In fact I'm good with the relic but realized they might not want a 29 picking it up on Hard mode so I asked. Nope, the leader said it didn't matter... everyone should be hitting X when they hit the ground and it's like the lottery. Really.... just a great group and I told them as much at the end and thanked them for a great run. I look forward to Raiding with them again.

Last week I had a run like that. I think we did the raid somewhere around 50-55 minutes and only wiped at Atheon once. (First time raider accidentally grabbed the relic).

I had a terrible run last night, it was awful. you know when for some reason it just doesn't mesh. people ive ran hard with and done it half a dozen times at least. (all on alts admittedly) just dying alot, people were talking about a stealth/accidental nerf to weapons with this update, but i cant find a link. Good to see some people arent suffering the same frustrations. Every time we wipe I just think, You wanted to make the raid harder with random teleports.... You have really taken the joy out of that last section. No matter how well one does individually you cant make up for others making mistakes. and with the bugs and unable to plan or stratergise the boss fight its just a real chore, a real damn chore.

Just did a really fun run with 4 ransoms. It was one of my best runs and our fire team was solid. Never once did they complain about my constant yelling. I was surprised and thankful

i had a nice run last night myself, group of 6 randoms pulled together. went nice and fine. have a 34 minute completion time. so close to that record...

10 RepliesPicked up 2 different guardians 2 weeks ago for the Vault run and it was super smooth, it's time like these when you think matchmaking for the vault should be a no-brainer.. That said, I've had atrocious pick ups that I still can't forget. lol
