Me and my fire team are trying to hit a true skill level of at least 40 on 3v3 game modes (Salvage & Skirmish). We were on a win streak over 50 until we ran into a guy that picked up heavy ammo, and we noticed he had well over 8 rockets in his Gjallarhorn. He killed us back to back with rockets, then when we finally managed to kill him he had more rockets. This is too suspicious.
My friends that I PvP with just informed me that they played with a guy named "James Destroys" and they actually killed him multiple times, yet he still had an infinite amount of rockets.
I even went on YouTube and looked up this sort of modding to confirm this, and I've found about 4 or 5 videos.
I think this should be addressed immediately, I can't afford to be losing games over this silly nonsense.
Edit: I'm not "crying" to people on the forums. Modding and tampering the game is NOT allowed in any form.
You can go look at my K/D and games on my Hunter PvP character on here, and @ www.destinytracker.com to verify that I'm not some "noob". GT "Shinobu Sama"
Edit #2:I don't know if you people are understanding, I said he had "Well over 8 rockets" plus he was killed at times where me and my fire team didn't have heavy, and we just sniped him, yet he still respawned with heavy.
Edit #3: In order for any rocket launcher to hold a maximum of 10 rockets it need to have the 'Tipod' perk(rocket can hold 3 in the tube) and 'Field Scout'(increases magazine count and reserve count). Last time I checked, Gjallarhorn DOES NOT have either of these perks. I have 'The Armamentarium' exotic chest and raid boots and Gjallarhorn only holds a maximum of 8.

Wow, everyone who's ripping into OP clearly didn't watch the vid. 29 rocket mag that never depleted. That's just wrong.
-
I made another edit to clarify my main statement.
-
Holy cow the video... People just can't learn to play a game as it's intended. Hopefully the dudes account gets banned. Can't stand people like this and I don't even play PvP really. It's just cheap. 29 rockets... Seriously.
-
A noob dies and comes to the forums and cries.... ammo synthesis maybe? Someone call this kid a waaaambulance. Thanks for the lol tho.
-
I have a friend who, regardless of what game, complains that he can't stand multiplayer/pvp because of "hackers". Truth is he just really sucks and gets destroyed. To him the only logical explanation is people are cheating.
-
Dude he's using the armamentarium chest piece that allows you to carry up to 7-8 rockets
-
It's a glitch. I had the same thing happen to me. Every time I respawned, I had heavy ammo.
-
The swarm of hackers are gonna attack destiny just all other good games.
-
No issues on Next gen, but that is because they are unmoddable at the current time.
-
Xbox 360 and ps3 are modded to hell, people are just finding ways to mod those system like crazy now. i haven't seen anything about xbox one or ps4 being modded yet.

Edited by Jinxer31: 10/26/2014 2:49:19 PMSame thing happened to me in a game of salvage. The game was tied for about half the game, except one player on the other side got a 20 kill streak, I know that it's possible, but when two of my team hit him with their supers which were golden gun( 3 hits) and nova bomb I threw in a grenade to be sure and..... Nothing he pulled out a shot gun and killed us all from at least 20 feet away.
-
You'll never know the true sting of modders until you keep getting killed by 3 guys in a flying warthog over and over..,,
-
He probably had all raid gear on. I know that when I get 2 different heavy ammo's in PVP I have 8 rockets because of the perks on my armor. Don't just jump straight to "modders" because you got swept across the floor lol.
-
Meh, I played a control match against someone who was invincible, could fly and had an infinite golden gun. Want to know what the sad part is, he finished with the third highest score and second highest kills...
-
He could've gotten lucky, like I have before, and kept murdering people who have heavy ammo. This lead to me having a next to infinite amount of ammo and I'm sure the other team thought I was a cheater. That being said, I have seen the videos of infinite heavy ammo and I greatly hope Bungie does something about it.

Stop being a pussy biotch

I was playing crucible with a guy who was invincible
-
Yah I heard of this too. I haven't seen any hacks on ps3 my self but I know their on Xbox... I heard alot from it there.
-
They are not modders per-say they are actually hackers. Modder imply that they mod their files, where these morons go out of their way to Mod their xbox to allow it to run a program such as a trainer or packet edirot. Those woudl be considered hacks. I know quite a few who have done that. a friend of mine tried but when i found out i promptly smashed his xbox and he learned his lesson. I dont mind those who mod single player games or even diablo 3 on consoles. It does not hurt me. It is the idiots who do it so they can be "good" in pvp where without these programs running in the background they would not be able to win for crap. Titanfall CoD and BF games all have them. So long as there is PVP there will be hackers.
-
I played crucible a couple of times and I picked up heavy but died and did not have it. After seeing the names of some of the people and scanning their play, I deduced that their was something not right. I don't play games with people like this. I'll stick to the open world and grind on my own. Somebody below, Xethir, mentions that FPS has people like this. I'm familiar with DCUO and know they got something similar going on. I like open world content PVP but when you are trying to grind for points, the cheaters hurt the reputation of the game which in turn prevents the larger market from playing PVP MMO's. Thanks for putting a video in about it.

I've had something similar happen to me as well, at the beginning of a match (maybe like a minute after the match started) one of the opposite team players had heavy ammo. Suspicious right from the get-go.
-
I feel like this should be on Sony's end of the deal, I feel start up times for ps4 should be longer so that Sony and scan your system for anything that doesn't belong and if it finds anything your done for any and all online play of any kind, no questions asked. This cheating shit is what ruins pc games and it's annoying as hell.
-
it is possible to get 8 rockets in gjallahorn with armor perks so that part is legit but i do agree respawning with heavy ammo is cheating
-
I've had this happen. Went up against a fireteam that seemed to have infinite machine gun ammo last night - even after respawning. Killed them multiple times, and they still had heavy ammo out minutes after it spawned. I've seen the same with rockets, and I know the difference between chaining heavy pickups and cheating. I use Truth, get 4 rounds from each crate, and often get extra from enemies, but I've seen people that were definitely, definitely hacking in some way. Then there's the times I shoot people directly in the face with shotguns or unload hand cannon rounds into them and see no damage registered at all before they turn around and kill me. I chalk it up to lag, but I always wonder. Last night I shot someone twice with a hand cannon before he ran around the corner. I then watched him come back bladedancing, expecting me to be there (I was some distance away). When he didn't find me he stopped bladedancing and ducked under the C control point (Rusted Lands). I watched this happen in real time - he walked around normally for 4-6 seconds. When my team mates came around the corner he started blade dancing again and killed them all. I cannot explain this.

I've had the same thing happen to me .
