Edit: There's a lovely little bit about Bungie and Destiny with the Xbox One.
Summary (it's pretty short, but here's the jist of it):
- Obligatory Halo reference
- You don't need Gold to play single player online games like Destiny (still need it for competitive)
- There's a lot coming at E3
- Developers get to choose whether or not to use Kinect, and if they choose not to they can use the GPU boost; they still get one if Kinect is only used a bit. Having Kinect plugged in does not decrease your GPU (games like Sunset Overdrive and Destiny are using the boost)
- Phil Spencer has played Destiny at Bungie studios and he loves it; "Next-gen game experience"
- Games > executives at E3
- He might wear a special t-shirt
-
Microsoft now understands PR? Whaaaat?
-
Phil is a -blam!-ing pimp. Can't wait till tomorrow. Especially the games we have never heard of which in this day and age is almost impossible.
-
Praise based Spencer.
-
I really think Phil spencer is just what Xbox needed. Also, I wonder how this whole you don't need live to play single player online games thing works. I wonder if you'll still get matched up in public events and whatnot. If so, what does this mean for games like borderlands 3 or the next iteration of dark souls
-
Good. I normally don't buy into PR/Marketing bullshit, but Phil Spencer has me excited about Microsoft's E3 this year. He's done nothing but extremely good things since he took over, and with what he's done in the short time as head of Xbox... this could be a very, very good E3 for Microsoft and Xbox. I'm very excited.
-
A lot of games you say? That will be a nice change. Let's hope they bring in bucket loads of exclusives too. They've been slacking on exclusives for long enough.
-
Monday morning is going to be fu.king glorious
-
Phil Spencer is honestly the hero we all need. He clearly actually loves games and cares about Xbox. He knows what we want, and he wants to give it to us. I'm not a huge fan of Major Nelson as he switches his ideals as the company does (he's the PR guy so it's understandable) but Phil does not hold back. He's open to telling what they do wrong, he doesn't hide it.
-
Praise M$.
-
It's gunna be awesome for sure.
-
I love how when Phil mentions Nintendo and how some flew with him they get excited and Larry asks if It was Reggie. So awesome. There's a lot of good information here and I think it's going to lead up to a great show for Microsoft.
-
This should get more attention because there's a pretty big information drop in there: While the PS4 requires PS+, the Xbox does not require Xbox Live to play Destiny. You need it for the PvP content Matchmaking of course, but not to access the online aspects of the story. So that's really good.

I can listen to it in awhile.... Say you wouldn't mind editing the OP to summarize what is going on over time would you?
