Warframe vets, looking for your best tips

What's up #gaming? I recently went back to play Warframe after about 8 month break. When I came back I remembered how overwhelming it is with the sheer size of the content. I came back to get ready for the Plains of Eidolon. I also realize there will be a big influx of people that are going to want to play because of the PoE open world And the fact Destiny2 is junk. What tips would you want to give to new players to help them ease into the game. My first tip to someone who doesn't know where to start is to check out a Youtuber named IFlynn. He has a lot of beginners videos. Now maybe you vets can give me advice. My problem is I get severe ADD when playing. I sit down to start something and I find myself 2 hours later still dicking around with my mods and colors! How do you guys stay on task? I can never accomplish much because I get distracted..."oh look, another color pallet" , " oh look, that's a good alert" etc etc..... Any tips or tricks would be appreciated. See you in the Plains soon!!

  • Get a sniper for PoE. Vectus is a good one to get forma and get a good build for it. Snipers are getting a buff in general so I suggest you start building. If you are MR13 get the Tigers Prime if not go build a Hek both of them are end game weapons. The Hek is MR4. The Broken War sword is the best single sword in the game and can be easily acquired by finishing the quest "the second dream" Max out a useful Arch Wing to be used in the plains and farm points for your focus. Farm regular materials and credit. You need to be end-game ready so you can play in the plains during night cycle. Hope it helps.

    • Mogamu. Tactical Potato. Those guys are good Youtubers. Most frames are viable in the end game. Same with weapons. Early game get weapons with good crit chances. Late game go for weapins withs high status chance and learn to mod your elements effectively. Learn to mod effectively overall. The skill curve is quite high. I recommend watching youtubers like thos i have suggested to get a feel for what to do. Warframe is not Pay to Win. It is pay to be impatient, so don't think that you cant access a weapon or any peice of equipment because it costs platinum. Clans are a vital part of the experience, find a large one. And do not worry if you play without friends. Warframes matchmakin system is usually excellent. And most missions can be completed solo. Finally, try to plan ahead for what you want. This will make the grind easier. And shorten the time it takes to get certain equipment if you know what you are doing.

      • Try and make a goal you want to do in warframe when you play so you stay focused for example farming for a prime frame or completing one of the relays

          • If you're on PlayStation download the free add on. It gives access to a weapon. More importantly it gives you some money and platinum. The codec on your ship has an advanced movement tutorial. Really helps you better understand how to wall run, climb and bullet jump vs in game. I've not even been playing a full week though.

I set a goal for myself to build top-tier guns, so I've been forma-ing weapons and getting mods. It's kind of slow but really rewarding.

You know, probably the most ironic thing about PoE (aside from the name) is that it's attracting a lot of new people to the game for heaven knows why, but it isn't exactly a noob friendly update. From the amount of of farming and grinding, needing to have all main quests finished (I'd assume) and needing to be at least semi - knowledgeable about the way stuff works... It's not something you'll be able to just install and start playing.
