Deceptive Engram was a green engram that provided you with an exotic (It was given at the beginning of a DLC) Torch light bindings and Swivel Turrets are Patrol items Distorted Heavy Weapon Engram, Scrambled Supply Crate, and Quest Item. I believe these are parts of a yet to be released Exotic weapon quest Fallen Ether are part of the Petra quest line in TTK Humble Gestures was a gift from bungie at the launch of eververse i think... I'll bet that the Sparrow and Ship shader templates are going to be sold by eververse. (We all want it, and it's cosmetic, expect the pay wall) Salty Engram was part of the Festival of the Lost Vex Chronospanner.... i dunno. I'd like to have this item, I have concerns about this showing up in eververse. I would like to see Xur sell this.

It's when someone or a group of people who are not affiliated with a company dive in to a software's coding and pull out information hidden in it. Essentially that's what this database is, a collection of datamined items found in destiny's coding. All these items you see here (with a few exceptions because OP isn't as well-versed in this game as some of us are), are prototype items that Bungie tested and eventually scrapped. That's what you have to remember: everything that Bungie tests in sandbox is put in the game coding, therefore is viable to datamining. These items most likely were never in the actual game from the start. Notice how these items have no symbol on the top right corner of the image. This signifies that they were developed before or during vanilla destiny. It could also be said, however, that some of these items inspired actual in-game items that we see today. For example, the exotic weapon core could have been reworked into the ikelos fusion core for the sleeper stimulant quest, and the exotic armor shard might have either inspired the exotic shard material, or quite possibly the glass needles that xur sells.The vex raid item might have been the VoG material, and then changed to shards and energy. We may very well see more of these items be incorporated in some way or another into the game in the near future.

Is exotic weapon core is just an exotic version of the simulation core for the NTTE quest.

They were either used for the Halloween event, missions or patrol missions where you collect items from killed enemies. The camera is also apparently used by bungie employees to record the in game footage used in the trailers
