I'm a 14 year old boy interested in creation and in fighting evolution one day. I am here not to spark a debate but I am here to seek advice / help from a creationist. If you are an evolutionist I politely ask you please tell me your opinion on evolution I really want to understand science life, anyway is there any creationist that has any books or evidence or any research sites that I can understand creation more?

Also as a Christan I seriously recommend you study both sides and then make a choice. I chose my faith after talking to many many people about the two subjects. Also try and ignore the loud ones. They are the least likely to have a calm logic talk with you.

Jw.org Seriously try it. It'll explain things in a way that should be easy for you.

Edited by U6757109: 11/27/2014 1:40:46 PMIf you are only 14, and you are a creationist, you were probably raised to believe that. I would suggest that you gather information from both sides (creationism & evolution) and form your own opinion. However, be aware: -creationism is being pushed as a science, yet is not accepted by any scientific organization -evolution is accepted by every single scientific organization -there are Christians who accept evolution EDIT: Also be aware that there are thousands of other religions that disagree with yours.

Simplist evidence we have is if we came from monkeys why are there still monkeys? You would think the evolutionists would think of that. Obviously not. Stay strong fellow brother!

This thread gave me an aneurism.

Here's a tip, neither creationism or evolutionism disproves the other. I believe both can be true. Evolution is the how and creationism is the why

holy shit lol

I'm a creationist who thinks the Universe is old(or has the appearance of age relative to us), but do not think evolution is a fact. Ama.

I'm a creationist. Got a very popular thread too. Got any questions? Ask and you shall receive!

Creationists are just too lazy to understand evolution. Life is much simpler when you can say "God did it all" for everything.

Oh dear. Another patient of the mental hospital escaped.

Though it may be above your reading level, I suggest reading Stephen hawkings books on the universe and how it came into being. The physics and chemistry behind everything he talks about is just too logical to be contradicted by a wave of a magic wand

I'm Catholic and I believe that evolution occured, but through the interference of God.

Edited by Josh93: 11/27/2014 12:45:37 PMIt's easy, just think of everything as a living organism, the earth, an organism. It provides an atmosphere in which can sustain life, think of everything as bacteria. We are merely a bacteria, living on the earth. The earth acts as our host. There is no denying evolution. This may sound odd, I don't believe in God, however, what if the earth was created by an ultimate energy. The asteroid in which created earth being "Gods" sperm and the object in which it struck being the egg. Maybe that's how everything came to be, as that's how life is created in the first place. Who knows?

So you think the world was created in 6 days?

Edited by John Doe: 11/27/2014 6:02:31 AMThis thread actually makes me sad.

Let me just say as devil's advocate that it's okay to believe both. The idea that the earth is six thousand years old is based on the assumption that the earth was created around the same time that the book of Genesis was written. That is ridiculous. The Old Testament stories were old tales passed down through word of mouth for an unknown number of generations. There are so many unknowns about the oldest books that no one should make any assumptions about their contents. What if there is a god? And what if that god created existence and the cycle of evolution? I think it's healthy to think outside of the box occasionally.

I believe in both. Who is to say that evolution was not the creators plan for life? The original theory of evolution is not that we evolved from monkeys but that life evoled to survive. We adapt to live.
