• Once, there was a boy who loved to read. He read everything he could get his hands on, and loved going to his favorite book store. One day, the boy realized he had read everything the store had to offer. He confronted the owner, and asked him if he had anything the boy had never checked out. The owner said why, yes, I do, and pulled out a book called “Death”. He gladly sold it to the boy at a discounted price of $50. However, he warned the boy, never to read the front page. Well, the boy returned to his house and read the book, and he was content. However, he always wondered, what could be on that front page, it was always in the back of his mind. One day, the temptation was too much for the boy, and he flipped to the very front of the book, and dropped the book in HORROR. There, in bold print, was MSRP $6.99.

    • -blam!- I hate most of you spoiled, self entitled, selfish, stupid -blam!-s! Deej is a forum admin, not a developer, he has nothing to do with the game itself, except that he's hired by bungie to manage the forums! You little ignorant kids have to stop whining and take action! Return your game and leave from here forever!! I don't like how they -blam!-ed up the game storywise, but this is still an awesome game, if you don't like it leave. I'm not defending bungie, I just don1t like the stupidity that's represented by 90% of people around here.

Deej wont say shit, but this guy might "So I haven't made a post here since the Halo 3 days, but this time I'll need help from the community to find out what happend to Destiny, a game full of potencial to be a 10/10 that became a major let down. The main logical reason why the game lacked a story and sucked so much was when the game had a 1 year dead line and Joshua Rubin, the writer, quit his job and joined Telltale Games. Now, there must be a reason why he quit his job. For those that don't know, a few game testers told the social media about testing the game, and how much diferent it was, how it seemed too much like halo, and how there was a freaking story to it. All their posts has been deleted, most likely due to the fear of getting sued. I'm currently working in Brazil and there is no way I can reach this guy to talk to him. As a community that has been let down, there is no wrong in digging under the veil of what was supposted to be Destiny. So guys, let's ask for some info from Rubin, let's hear what he has to say. Here's some info: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/joshua-rubin/10/685/398 Some one please find out his contact info and ask him politly if he could help out with some info. DONT SPAM HIM, just be friendly and ask if he could share some of his ideas of how Destiny was going to be on his point of view, if there was supposted to be a story, if by contract they had to pull out on all the cut scenes with his work and why didn't bungie work out for him. My guess? The same thing that happend Halo 2 happend to Destiny, but much worse. They had a deadline and didn't get to finish the game, and since it would cost too much money and time to redo the game, assumedly, the cash flow woudn't handle the backdrawn creater by Rubin quittin. So what would a major gaming company do? In my opinion, do to the results of this game, they polished it at their best and prayed for another Halo 2 miracle. Sure the turn out of Halo 2 was MUCH better, but if you dig up some bungie history, they nearly shited their pants when sending out Halo 2. The only way they can make Destiny work some day is if they make a Open world 5 times bigger than GTA 5 and show more than promise words on ViDocs. Make no loading, and let us drive the space ships to get to the planets and places. Anyways that's besides the point I'm trying to make, what do you guys think? Shouldn't Bungie make a statement about this haft-ass game? And do you guys think this Joshua Rubin guy is going to help us out understanting what the -blam!- happend to Destiny?"

        • Here is what he will say:
What people need to understand is that extra content is something that you have to plan… There are people who think that the first day of DLC development is the day after you launched. That’s not the way it works. A lot of it is that you have to prepare and plan and manage your resources and your people and everything to allow for that
You people clearly don't understand how video games work. As far as I'm concerned, DLC is only relevant when the fans want it, or if the company was forced to throw the game out too soon to implement really good ideas into the game. And honestly? Fans haven't cried out for DLC yet, and if Bungie ran out of time ... I'm curious to know what that time was spent doing? Because there's very little story or anything in this game, and all the mission concepts are the same shit... It really doesn't feel like a game that took too long to throw together. Not to mention this DLC is apparently "Disc locked content" not downloadable content. Sadly, I've already got my expansion pass, but I'll be damned if I buy any more DLC for this -blam!-ing game if this DLC doesn't have some damned AMAZING story elements to it. I honestly don't see this game having anywhere near a 10 year life span if this is the kind of crap they expect to hook a large player/fan base. I'd be surprised if it lasts a year.

DeeJ : We tried to do like Mass Effect 3 (EA) but failed ... it's fine, just chill out, coming content will be more exciting and will cost $15 But he respond by dodging this evidence about content that are already in the disc.

Seems like Bungie is in trouble if they don't do something epic with Destiny and it's DLC soon. ALOT of people are upset...

                    • DLC should be free for a good year from now, I think the players deserve this to keep them playing longer. I don't think the game is worth putting more money into it at the moment. I actually thought warframe was a better game and it's free

                        • Everytime I look at these forums it becomes increasingly obvious that so many people these days are good little consumers. These corparations would be so proud of you if they saw you blindly standing up for their products. Not like you naughty questioners, with your speaking out against shady business practices and expecting to recieve the product as advertised. You loyal consumers keep up the good fight and don't ever let anyone tell you that you are nothing more than a dollar sign to any company anywhere.

People are acting like pay for content has never been on a disc before. Buy the DLC or don't, I see no reason why Bungie would make any comments other than when the content will be unlocked. #optional

The big question is whether those are just markers or there is more content on disc. Given that these areas are already accessible (ish) I am sadly inclined to assume the latter, which is indicative of a publisher hacking up a game to boost profit, which is bad business and is a legal gray area. I suppose we'll see when the expansion hits by the size of the download.
