How do you deal with stress, Flood?
I'm feeling rather stressed as of late. University assignments, awful haircuts and personal dramas are making life feel pretty bad. WHY CANT THINGS EVER JUST BE OKAY FOR ONCE
Anywho. I try listen to 80s, 90s and early 00s pop music which usually cheers me up (if you've ever wondered why I'll post lyrics sometimes it'll either be because I'm feeling anxious and stressed or I'm just happy. Polar opposites but there you go!). Other times I'll try to run or meditate. But the latter don't seem to work any more blaaaah

I remember two things. 1. People, Places and Things only have the power over me that I give them. IOW, they have no power over me unless I invest my sense of "self" in things being a "certain" way. 2. Things will NEVER be "okay"...if "okay" is defined by as things being a "certain" way. People have their own agendas. Places change. Things come and go. THE ONLY CONSTANT THERE IS, WAS, AND WILL EVER BE IS "CHANGE". If your happiness is going to depend on the Universe being arranged ina particular fashion...you're going live the rest of your life, and DIE unhappy. Because one of three things will happen. a. You'll never get it arranged the way you want...and will stress out about the fact that you can't. b. You'll get it arranged that way...and then stress out about whether you can KEEP it that way...or... c. You'll get it arranged that way...then stress out about the fact that your desires have changed and you no longer want things that way. The best way to peace of mind....is the knowledge that you can cope with whatever Life---and other people---throw at you. YOU WILL SURVIVE EVERYTHING LIFE HANDS YOU. Except on thing...and when you encounter that one thing, it won't matter. Because the problems and the stress will be over.

Honestly it just disappears mainly due to me not caring about the situation Afterall what has happened has already happened. Honestly doing something productive woukd be better.
