Xbone can stay powered for 10 years

While it's just a report and not 100% I do find it quite interesting. Microsoft has learned the mistake from the 360 and tackled the overheating problem which means their will hopefully be no more issued like the RRoD. According to the article the RRoD problems cost them over $1 billion which is a pretty hefty blow. They've also designed it to be almost silent. I'm hoping that's the case because the 360 just sounds awful.

3 RepliesLeaving electronics on doesn't hurt them. Once they're hot, they're fine. It's the heating and cooling that kills them, turning them on and off. it's similar to a paper clip, you bend it, and it's almost as strong as it was originally. Bend it back and forth 20 times, and it's probably close to breaking.
