Because you can easily see if you completed them on the destination screen, so it really is unnecessary for the app.

On the contrary... If I'm playing on my Warlock and I can't remember if I've completed it on my Hunter, I would have to stop what I'm doing and switch characters. At a minimum, I'd have to return to orbit just to check. That's ridiculous.
