Were you here these past two winters? Idk where u live but we got bombarded with snow in the northeast. You are probably one of those simpletons in the west saying: "Duhh...it's hot over here. "

  • Global warming = extreme weather Not just hot weather -_-'

  • Then why is it called warming. And it's actually about rising of heat due to carbon dioxide in the air. That makes things warmer apparently. Didn't seem like it these past years. I did a 5 page essay on this.

  • Greenhouse gases bounce the suns rays back onto the planet (where they would normally just escape) This DOES make the planet warmer. This increase in heat alters the climate and the weather. So we would have a warmer planet overall but it mainly seems to screw with the weather. Hence more extreme snow/flooding/heatwaves ect. There are arguments that we were tending towards a hotter planet anyway and we are just accelerating that, which seem more plausible in my opinion. I'm no expert though...

  • Me neither but I don't get how sun rays make it colder.

  • I think that the extra heat melts the ice caps a little bit causing the cold water to move south a bit more thus possibly screwing with currents leading to colder temps. Idk I heard that somewhere.
