It's not. This is exactly what a potential battle against 2 very good teams would like like. Nova bombs and golden guns popping bubbles while strikers and blade dancers get in to some cqc and all the whole defender titans spawning bubbles.
Is this match 1 sided? Absolutely but because thier opponents are completely unprepared, not working together, not feeding each other orbs, they just can't hang.
So mad props to the guys that figured this out. Maybe, just maybe there will be some teamwork going on now in pvp a bit. When I see an enemy super I always super if I can use mine to shut theirs down.
If you think this is cheating or an exploit you are everything that is wrong with this community and probably suck or have no friends to do this with.
I cant wait to do this and to hopefully run into it so I can record some epic super battles.

Literally more than a dozen counters to this strat are listed below by random forumers. This is not hard to beat and takes 2 coordinated supers. Keeping it down takes more teamwork and without the lead this strat is useless. Get gud kids.

Only way to nerf this is to nerf the titan in pvp. Let's not go there.

Apparently sunsingers feel left out of this strategy. If it helps create balance and define job roles simply let the sunsinger be the orb spawner and change the titan perk to generate orbs from kills inside the bubble vs just taking damage from the bubble.

Seriously that was amazing. It's definitely not cheating, it's a well organized team. I'd be so pissed if I was a random on the other team but I'm impressed with the teamwork.

Did the 3 games in a row yesterday. I was running the golden gun like the person in the video, although it was on anomaly and clash so it was little bit harder to get solid shots on enemies. I felt really dirty doing this honestly haha, started wanting to play the game without my super.

It's not cheating lmao its part of the game but I have thought about t before that orbs don't really need to be in pvp so if they patch it they might make it so orbs don't drop at all

Guys please don't give bungie and excuse to nerf it. It would really hurt titans in pve. We need those orbs for Crota hard mode.

Well, it wasn't exactly a secret before it is just starting to get popular. It is a pretty obvious strategy. It is a strategy, but that doesn't mean it's not a little scummy. Granted, that team is void of any intelligence so this example is pretty moot. Balanced? Sure is. Competetive? Not a chance. Crucible, Control in particular, should be more about map control and spawn manipulation rather than constant super spam. This will be pointless when the Inferno Playlists drops, so then no one will be able to complain. Regardless, this boils down to the other team not being able to identify the start and either leaving or force the team to come to them, which may or may not even have worked.

Let's see if this "teamwork" will work in the Inferno playlists lol. This is just stupid and is why I personally can't wait for the Inferno playlists, it will be a more accurate showing of skill. I mean seriously, they're playing control and they're not even capping objectives, but instead using this BS to constantly spam supers. So much for playing the objective lol. A perfect example of why Destiny's MP is completely broken.

Me and 2 other randoms talked it out and we just supered them from all 3 directions right before the "Heavy ammo inbound". After that, we 3 stayed together and made sure that the other team couldn't get organized with our heavy weapons. Done deal. EDIT: I will say that we did lose in the end because of time running out but we were catching up quickly. It just sucked the other 3 people on our side wasn't on the chat.

I commend that it's teamwork but there is so many way to break this strategy and one of it is with the fist of havoc from a Titan..

5 RepliesI'm all for teamwork (and this is a great example of it). and fireteams playing together. Provided that: - Bungie makes sure if a fireteam is one side, the other side has a fireteam/clan too. - Match randoms, against randoms (do not match guys in Fireteam/wingman with a team that has none) - At the very least, make it known at start of match what the opposite team is made of (randoms, fireteam/clan, who's part od what, etc) Seen it all too often - scrubs who run with teammates or a wingman, running Vex M/Suros - against team of complete randoms. And if you play well in such a match, be sure it'll always be 2on1 or 3on1 on your ass (have had 4 on 1 on me few times). Not to mention OP weapons and communication, and best of all. tag team work. And then, to top it all, scrubs come on forums, make it like doing good with stats, and are genuine players. Same sorts would vote against a 1 vs 1 playlist I suppose. This game is far from balancing fireteam vs randoms. And it will make weapon stats normalized (as should be), but will not make weapons availability in Crucible normalized (meaning, same armory available to all in PvP).

6 Repliesthe issue is with the titans ward of dawn. it should not naturally produce orbs of light of that quantity, alpha lupi or not. the sunsinger was intended for something along these lines since its radiance can charge up other plays supers, but it does not drop orbs unless you get a kill. ward of dawn is the only ability in which orbs spawn for no kills, and should have been made to where the titan or ward of dawn spawns orbs if a enemy is killed with in the ward.

Team work IMO. They've used the perks and abilities available to them to come up with a solid strategy to win. As i don't run in a fireteam when playing PvP, I would absolutely hate to come up against them though. Team work just doesn't happen well in a group of randoms.

1 ReplyIf there was proper matchmaking in the crucible, fair enough. But beating this strategy takes a team effort, that isn't possible from random teams. Whether this is cheating or good teamwork, it breaks the pvp experience as it currently stands. Changes to the matchmaking are needed, otherwise removing orbs from crucible would fix the issue without effecting any classes more than others.

16 RepliesAnd this is why the Destiny PVP is the most broken POS ever, this isn't teamwork, is just a broken mechanic, simple as that, the guys on the other team will probably quit because of this broken strategy, this is I don't do PVP, people like that who abuse the powers of their roles, because this is an abuse, it should be like this and the fact that Bungie allows this is the reason why Bungie PVP is the worst ever, I know if I ever go up against something like this I'm just leaving PVP forever hoping it's removed. Say whatever you like about me, but this is just sad that it's so easy to pretty much take a match out of balance in such an abusive way....oh it's on Broken Box 1, figures. But really if this isn't fixed get ready to see your precious PVP die, Bungie. To the OP, we shouldn't let this ride out as it is a broken mechanic that gives an unfair advantage to one team, and btw the opponents where unprepared because not everyone has 6 players ready for PVP, and PVP matchmaking is just trash in this game, honestly you shouldn't be defending this, instead we should ask Bungie if their intention was to allow one team total control over a match because they can't balance a single power there.
