Additions/changes that would greatly improve the game

Alright, so starting off there's obviously a few things I really don't need to hammer home about. Such as more Vault space or Raid/Nightfall matchmaking, as it's incredibly apparent that we all want this (to say otherwise would be downright silly!). However, I've been muddling up a few other ideas that would either (a. Help Destiny improve upon it's very... well, lackluster start and continuation or (b. Make Destiny 2 x10 better than the first Destiny. 1. Transmogrification We have Shaders that help differentiate each other, and coming from that we've all got tastes that determined what we choose as our shader(s). However, a good portion of people either choose Chatterwhite, one of the shaders from Eris, or the Crota shader. With this, we have a LOT of Guardians looking exactly alike, especially with how the only way to get to level 32 is by using Raid gear (which I will tackle in another point). So adding in Transmogrification will allow us to change our gear up accordingly with how other gear appears in the game. The same should be applicable to our weapons as well, because while I like how much damage the Suros does, DANG DAT THING LOOK UGLY (imho!). I think it would be an excellent addition to the game to help us differentiate our characters. 2. Chests need a meaning! Right now, most people only care about the chests in the raids as they are the only ones that drop anything really... worthwhile. There are chests in the planets, but all they ever drop are materials (like 1 or 2) and maybe a green. Once in a while you'll get that "superb" chest that drops 9 materials and 2 greens and MAYBE a blue. I'd like to think that Destiny is more of a PvE game, so why not make the central focus of rewards be in the PvE area? What I am asking specifically is remove all the chests from the worlds and randomly spawn 1 "legendary" chest that has the possibility of giving you a legendary engram and/or ascendant materials. Since I know that Destiny runs off servers, have that chest respawn every 30 seconds after it get's used. That way, finding a chest in Destiny will actually be a feat worthy of rewarding since the worlds are big and finding one treasure chest in a big world is difficult. I know the Golden Chests are sort of like this, but those are lackluster most of the time and never give anything good past level 20. 3. Strike Boss's aren't rewarding Sepiks, Valus, Sekrion, Omnigul, and Phogoth (and the PS4 exclusive ones I can't recall). All of these bosses do absolutely nothing but end the strike. They have the same drop rate as regular enemies it seems. They've tough to take out, so why not make them rewarding? These bosses should reward with the highest drop rate that Bungie can give without making it so inducing to just do nothing but strikes. I cannot count the amount of times I've killed Valus and got nothing, after having to deal with the most annoying strike boss. Either that or make a "legendary" chest spawn after the bosses die that MIGHT give legendary/rare items or materials. 4. Higher Level Enemies = Higher Drop Rate This is something that I don't understand why it wasn't included in the first place. All MMO's and most RPG's do this. With higher difficulty comes better chances for rewards and even better rewards. Why am I getting level 20 green items when I'm 30 doing a Nightfall strike? That really doesn't add up right. Doing this would also stop people from doing stuff like the Loot Cave in different areas (like the Loot Stairs or the Loot Room). Those are effortless. Trying to farm enemies in a Nightfall is not. 5. Ships and Sparrows need a GREATER purpose While I admire Bungie for putting something in the game to get us from A to B faster, that's all Sparrows are good for. Aesthetics are nice and all, but everyone uses either the Legendary Sparrows from the VoG or the one they get for free from the DLC. All Sparrows by default should do the trick stuff. Sparrow races seems like a good idea, which some people have implemented themselves already. Having an actual mode to do this would be incredibly fun and cool. The ability to shoot on your Sparrow would be something that I'd want as a feature but it's not needed. As for Ships, god please do something Bungie! Ships have no difference to them and there is no reason to get another one unless you really care about aesthetics. Maybe instead of just looking at your ship in Orbit, you can go inside your ship and explore. Sort of like how Mass Effect handles the Normandy. You can go inside, see your vault, change cosmetics inside, the works. Ships have no purpose right now and can be eliminated entirely with absolutely no repercussions. That shouldn't happen! 6. Make Vanguard Marks and Crucible Points interchangeable. It really doesn't make a lot of sense how you can level up with your faction by completing VANGUARD bounties but cannot use Vanguard points to buy stuff from them. I'd suggest adding in a method of exchange where you can exchange X amount of Marks or Points for the opposite of the other. Or maybe for 3/4ths of the the one you're trading in to get. I haven't had much luck getting a legendary/exotic handcannon, and the Vanguard Devil You Don't doesn't have Field Scout, so it's trash. I wanted to get The Chance from The Future Warcult but that only takes crucible points! I don't like Crucible as PvP is boring to me and I suck at it. I really think either the vendors need to accept Vanguard marks or there needs to be an exchange option of some sorts. 7. Factions are lackluster. Yeah, we all probably got at least one faction to level 3 so we could buy stuff from them but honestly, I haven't done anything but Vanguard since. Factions need a purpose. Additions like: 1. You can only join one faction with a PROFILE*. 2. Add a "Faction Wars" option for PvP. You'll be paired with other people who are in your faction (wearing the faction class item) and you'll battle it out. 3. Make a Weekly/Monthly tournament that happens and give it a point system. For each win, a faction get's an X amount of points. At the end of the Week/Month, which ever faction has the most points wins. The winning faction get's either an in-game bonus (like how the Nightfall bonus works) or everyone in the faction get's a random legendary engram of a random type. You'll have to compete in the mode once to get the reward. * - Profile because since there are only... what, 3 or 4 factions as it is, you could just make 3 characters and have each one join a different faction and abuse the system to get the rewards. Doing this would really hammer home a point about the Factions. While we all align against the Darkness, we also are competitive against each other. Sort of like Horde/Alliance in World of Warcraft. Those are the major ones. Here are some small things I can think of that can be summed up quickly. 1. Increase the drop rate. It's still incredibly low. 2. Make cutscenes skippable. 3. When you shard any upgraded weapon/armor, you should get all materials you used to level it up back. 4. Iron Banner should have gear that is equivalent to raid gear since it's just as hard to get. 5. There should be NO cap on Vanguard Marks/Crucible Points. So what if I want to binge and get all my marks in one day for 3 pieces of gear? I'm playing the game for an extensive period of time. There should be NO cap at all. 6. Gunsmith is almost useless after level 20. He should sell random legendary weapons for marks/points. Anyway, these are just things I think that would greatly improve the Destiny experience. I'll add things if I think of anymore or I spot them in the comments! Cheers, Guardians!

I was just about to put a post up about #1 but I think all of these are really good ideas! I would also like to say I think we should have more inventory space, 20 per category ain't cutting it. I loove collecting shaders and I hate that I have to break em down or carry some around because I want to keep my materials in my vault as well so all my characters have access to them. They were able to add more space for bounties, why not add an arrow button in there and add pages to our vaults.

    • sorry bud, but im pretty sure bungie knows how to make games and besides you have to think about the cons of these items not just the pros.
