I hate my disability
Everytime I ran through the raid doesn't matter what difficulty it is I'm always to blame. I can't hear half the thing my teammate say even though I have game sound muted and party chat volume max out. It become a burden when almost every team I go into the raid with end up kicking me just because they claim I can't "communicate" I'm partly deaf I tell people that just so they understand and yet still kick me. Now I feel my current group is gonna do that exact same thing because of crotas end HM. Half the time I feel like I should just give up and get rid of this game.
Edit1: glad to know there are people who support and/or have the same disability
Edit 2: I'm on the one and sometime 360. I appreciate that people offer to do the raid/weekly with them.
Edit 3: wow such amazing and surprising response from the destiny community.
Edit 4: I should be more clear about my current group. They tell me they wouldn't kick me out of the group but half the time I feel they will because of how frustrated it can be.
Edit 5:surprised people are still replying to this post. Make me glad that there alot of people that care on this game.

The trouble is some people won't take you genuinely... which is horrendous! When I first played bf4 online I was ridiculed by some players - because I am severely colourblind. Players thought it was just an excuse... Once I adjusted the settings I was fine...

I'd help you but I'm on ps4. I'm sure you can find others who are patient and kind enough to work it out. TBH I enjoy helping other people do the raids.

To be honest there are some pricks out there that kick people who have problems/no mic/or are squeaky kids but for me i dont really care as long as it gets donei have no problem

I'm profoundly deaf myself but the group of guys I usually raid with always make sure I know tactics and understand what's going to happen in chats or through social media like facebook etc. It is frustrating not being able to communicate with your group but as long as they understand the difficulties and always use text chat groups then it's easier to manage.

Those people are -blam!-ing stupid,half the time when i do raids with randoms no one ever speaks a word and we beat it easily.

Im deaf in one ear, recently went temp deaf due to ear infection in good ear - horrible. Cleared thankfully but with one good ear its always a worry. Didnt stop me raiding though, you just need a good team. Does not need everyone talking anyway, if people are constantly needing callouts they are inferior players quite frankly. Neither Raid really requires that many callouts [i]if[/i] you know what you are doing.

When in raid there should be a single shout to confirm the swordbearer will shortly be dead, one shout by the swordbearer to damage crota and that's it. No one else should utter a word.

I don't know what kind of douche would kick someone with a disability. Sometimes you need to take a breather and accept that not every person is the way you want to. I entirely wish I could help but I'm a Playstation guy. But I hope it only gets better for you. Walk with your head held high in triumph instead of a tail between your legs on defeat.

That sucks man! If you tell people before starting a raid game they should keep this in mind. First you start explaining a strategy I think and then maybe ask you if you heard the strategy completely. After that I can't see there should be any problem in communicating if everybody sticks to their tasks. Maybe the strategy is not good enough so they have to improvise too much in a raid game? I hope you find a team which doesn't care for your disability so you can enjoy the game again.

Before i read any of these comments I thought there was a lot of people just trying to ruin peoples days but after going through and reading all the comments I no longer feel that the forums are filled with trolls. I am very proud to have read these comments and have commented on this myself. Anytime you wanna raid or patrol or strike my gt is the same as my name. Well done guardians, well done. Keep the realness alive and don't give up. Once you find a good group, friend all of them and meet up for nightfalls and raids from time to time. This game gets so much better with fun people. I started this game with no xbone friends and did everything solo but once I met a few people that I liked and gained some friends this game got way better for me. I use it as an outlet so to speak, to escape from life a bit and I hope it can be the same for you. Stay up playa!

At the same time I'm slightly jealous. Last fireteam I was in had three aussies who were competing with each other in a who can be more obnoxious contest.
