Timur's Lash and why I use this loadout.

I rolled until I finally got OUTLAW, FLARED MAGWELL (also have field scout), and LUCK IN THE CHAMBER. NO, I will NOT be using field scout with luck in the chamber! With OUTLAW I get a 150% bonus to reload speed with precision kills. FLARED MAGWELL does NOT stack with this! But trust me, when I DON'T get a headshot, flared magwell is superb to have as a backup with 100% extra reload speed! I am a habitual reloader tho...and just knowing that a 33% extra damage bullet is in the chamber per seven rounds is nice. The reload perks allow me to keep on refilling that 33% bullet consistently over and over again. I may not use that round as it may be the seventh in chamber before I do reload, but having field scout where that bonus round might not even be fired before I reload is useless....to ME. Now on top of this I have a solar Efrideet's Spear with AMBUSH SCOPE, DOUBLE DOWN (extra ammo on spawn), ARMOR PIERCING ROUNDS and, yes...FINAL ROUND (33% damage bonus and drops crucible enemies with ONE body shot!) I use the Bladedancer subclass as a hunter. The QUICKDRAW perk allows me to habitually swap between Timur's Lash and Efrideet's Spear based on enemy distance. WHY DO I DO THIS? Becuz by having FINAL ROUND (and only a 3 round clip) I am GUARANTEED 10 shots between the two weapons with TWO OUT OF EVERY 10 SHOTS HAVING A 33% DAMAGE BONUS! Plus Armor Piercing Rounds go thru anything. Reload, swap weapons based on distance, and repeat knowing you have that extra damage security. Just food for thought....any comments on your roll and WHY it's the best is encouraged. TIMUR'S LASH with Efrideet's Spear having TWO 33% rounds of extra damage PER 10 shots....IS....deadly.

  • I looked into this a little further. This is just a question...not an opinion! Would you rather go up against a PvE boss with CROWD CONTROL or LUCK IN THE CHAMBER? Personally, my faster reload speed and a 33% extra damage bullet dominates bosses....over and over that round is being shelled out after every 7 shots (or less depending on where the round is being held in chamber). Crowd Control is nice for mobs in my opinion, but is overkill UNTIL you get to a boss that makes CROWD CONTROL useless. After a kill, you are granted a 15% bonus for 3 seconds. This does NOT stack. How does CROWD CONTROL help with bosses...or even in the crucible for that matter? Seriously, how many kills in a row are you going to get with a 15% extra damage....in three seconds...in the crucible? Give me a 33% extra damage bullet per 7 rounds any day of the week for bosses AND the crucible. Must have fast reload speeds obviously. Just asking....WHY is CROWD CONTROL better than LUCK IN THE CHAMBER? Only CROWD CONTROL use I see is for mobs. Timur's Lash would most likely take out that enemy WITHOUT the 15% damage for 3 seconds anyways...right? On bosses I dominate...with LUCK IN THE CHAMBER.. Crowd Control would be useless as you're getting few enemy kills to TRIGGER that 15% extra damage perk (for 3 seconds) when you're taking out a boss. Once again, in no way am I saying I'm right, but CROWD CONTROL seems inferior unless you're going against PvE mobs. Give me an earth shattering bullet every 7 rounds for bosses AND the crucible any day of the week. COMMENTS?
