Are Faction Really Worth It?
So we all know, there are 3 factions on the Tower. Dead Orbit, New Monarchy and The Future War Cult. The question is, are they really that worth it for something other than guns?

Factions arnt really worth the grind.... but thats all you do in this game so it doesnt hurt to wear a class item and gain rep. Aside from a few weapons, the main draw to lvl up factions is for faction specific shaders. In short, factions are pointless.

If you do both crucible and vanguard bounties it would be dumb not to use factions. With a faction all of your bounties can be turned in and go toward that faction. You'll level it up twice as fast.

Seems to be random drops 😔 I actually got my New Monarchy Shader Amalthea when I was rank 7 or 8. Its on my hunter if you would like to see it. Hopefully I'll get this lucky with Dead Orbit and FWC. Does anyone know if there are two shaders per faction? And yes, I have noticed that New Monarchy has the best weapons in the game 👍

The faction shaders are truly the rarest and most unique items in the game IMO that and how bad ass they look is the only reason I try to get them. So far no luck though..

Get Crucible and Vanguard to Rank 3 at least. Then grind Eris Morn to rank 4 if you have the dlc. If you got nothing to do from there on I'd level new Monarchy, as they have the best weapona IMO. Only level a faction if you're at least rank 3 vanguard and crucible. You will have an alternative to Crucible gear, as you can do Vanguard Bounties to rank up, but Crucible marks to pay.
