I think the rng picks from a pool of available weapons and probably can't pick from the ones who came out recently, to avoid people going bat shit crazy over it.

Yeah. I thought about plan C while posting but I wasnt 100% sure... Armor is different because you have more choices and you also have engrams... I don't think here is a single poece of exotic armor that I wanted which I didnt get yet...
