I got an Xbox One for xmas. Parents said it was so I could play with my brothers from where I live. I've been spoiling my brothers for 4 days now. I almost picked up a PS4 before all these hacks and attacks.

Edited by TheExotcGuardian: 12/30/2014 2:40:53 PMPS4 is better than Xbox One. I've had both and PS4 is better and wins most categories. Microsoft is a lying company. Did you know that during the DDOS attacks, Microsoft just put up their servers like normal to make their service feel superior. Sony actually shut down psn themselves afterwards to fix the servers and add firewalls. Microsoft is known to be a lying company. You know why the Xbox one had to go $350? Desperation. So then why did they sell so well in November? Technically they didn't. The Christmas shopping parents just don't look at the system, they look at the price. If ps4 was also $350 more than likely they would've picked that up.

Also adding firewalls to a network does nothing to prevent ddos, since ddos isn't a hack. It's more of a traffic attack than getting past firewalls. The best way to solve that problem is to find who did it and ban them from the internet, fine them, and maybe even give them jail time depending on the economic impact they make.

I'll just go with whatever let's me play online. I don't really give a damn how ms gets us back in the game, they do their job better. I love the kinect too honestly but that's because of a very specific feature. I didn't know it served as a headset tbh, its almost like the tv is a phone to the other side. I can wear my hockey helmet next time I play nhl and still talk smack, literally. It's fun, graphics aren't a huge priority. I still play sonic. I have a lot of faith in azure and cloud processing, makes games like crackdown possible whereas it is not on ps4. Bottom line is I don't really care either way, you're trying to convince me what is better and I already have an xbox. It tells me how polarized you are over the issue which kinda renders your advice moot either way. The way the one is built will make it last longer than the ps4s, takes one quick glance at the size and specs to know that. Another thing is I like the idea of game design. MS has project spark, ps4 has little big planet. Spark looks better for my needs.

The other thing is the way the one is built makes getting an external 3tb hdd with usb 3.0 is actually faster than their internal hdd. They did this on purpose knowing that the xbox would fill up fast. This makes it so that your quality doesn't drop when you go external, in fact actually improves loading times slightly. It's a lot easier than taking the console apart to install a better or bigger hdd, and I can bring my games around to my friends without bringing the whole thing. Just plug it in.

Well guess what? I have both too and i prefer xbone, everyone has their opinions, people say that sony was lying and that they just had trouble getting their servers back on, some people believe what you believe, EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN OPINIONS! PS4 AND XBONE ARE BOTH AMAZING! NO NEED FOR THESE DUMB CONSOLE WARS!

I've had both too.

Lol proof?
-
Proof? Sony said themselves that they were gonna put psn offline for maintenance afterwards. Xbox put it up the next day.

So basically ms did their job faster, and has higher quality servers. Ddos shouldn't break a network that is good quality. Azure is the number 1 server network in the world besides the internet itself. It doesn't surprise me that they were able to get back up and running, they did spend a sh$$load of money on azure, over 100 million I think .

That's some good proof ya got their.
