I love it. Yanks were trying to insult Australian police for how they conducted their breach during the Sydney siege trying to tell us it would have never happened if everyone had more guns.
This is what happens when "supposed" "responsible" citizens are given firearms. They do stupid shit.
And now need feeds will be plagued with how police were heavy handed and didn't have the right to draw their sidearms to defend themselves.
I swear the average American has the IQ of a baked potato.

The average IQ is probably in the 80-90's range. Which is sickeningly detrimental to society as a whole. That is not useful enough to be useful.

The averages are still low enough that I consider them detrimental. And the thing with averages is that for everyone above, there are as many below. Which is much more annoying than anything.

Maybe true on the iq issue simply because of our school systems and now the majority of our 20-30 adults are the same jackasses I went to school with and dont care to help their kids learn. Schools are better than when I was in, but the parents are worse. Oh and as with anything... The "Vocal Majority" tend to be both a minority to the populace as a whole and fairly ignorant to the situation. There is also the fact of the U.S.A being largely ignorant to the ways of the outside world and only see major world news and mostly then if it directly affect us. Our country is bigger than Europe, news from outside of our state rarely crosses our ears and eyes. A worldly american is a rare occurance. A well educated Americqn is as well. The counrptry has brought itself down to where it is. There are many days I am ashamed to be an american. Where terms like 'Merica become common and make the majority look like idiots. Give the unintelligent access to the internet and they will spew where they can. The smarter ones keep quiet when they don't know the details. Please continue to call the average american potatoheads. I agree. But possibly I helped to expand your view of America from an inside angle. Would you like [i]me[/i] to show you the statistics of gun crime with legal ownership vs illegal ownership? And how many other crimes, gun and otherwise, have been stopped by gun wielding civilians? The fact remains that what happened in Sydney would not have happened if someone had a gun, true, but also statistics show that even if that happens in America most likely no one in the establishment would have been armed.
